I'm nearing the age and it's all very disjointed across all the states. Senior events and vet events. Anyway my first hit out looks like being the Australian Senior Amateur at Glenelg, SA. I'm not sure what the handicap cutoffs are for an event like this? Does anyone know from past experience.

Bits, if it isn’t in Syd or Melb....about 8 or lower normally gets you in the field!
You want to be off scratch as a maximum to hold any hopes of being competitive.

You’ll get in without any issues on that handicap, even with both men and women fields in the same event at the same course.

I’ve played in three Senior Amateurs and it’s a good event but the National Senior Amateur (at The National) is the best event of the year.

It’s better run than any other event, you get to play the Moonah and Old courses then the Gunamatta course if you make the cut. If you miss you play the Moonah twice.

Yes a Vic event, it’s on the GA event online list in late October.

If you check the www.bluesoom.com site regularly you see all the info once it closer to entries opening.

Agree with PT. The nash event is the best...although expensive at $300 entry fee. Great courses and a great comp. See u there if u choose to go!
