The guy's made his own bed with all his previous "questionable" actions, he couldn't really come out and say anything with any slightly negative connotations in regards to his non-selection without stirring the hate fest that surrounds him. Have to feel for him that sense, but liking twitter comments doest really help him in the public eye, IMO.

If he really was as classy as he tries to make out every time he does something suss he'd at least say something along the lines of "Disappointed not to be there, but good luck to the new guys".

There’s 0% chance he runs his own social media.

He wouldn’t be allowed to. Near 100% chance the Reed blue check account is Justine’s daytime account.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

He has had a pretty impressive 18 months or so, with big wins in the middle east, Ireland, and now a PGA tour card locked in for two more years, as well as a Masters and PGA start.

That Bermuda was a full on choke-a-thon...

And not just Danny, poor blokes just couldn't bring it home.

    Herbert was class !

Great win for Lucas, on what is arguably the worst golf course on the PGA tour.

We was really good on the back nine yesterday.......superb result and he now qualifies for the "closed shop" tour.

I don't know who the commentators are but the one that sounds like an extra from The Dukes of Hazzard said he has a reputation for being slow, almost choked on my cereal given he was playing with well known tortoise Furyk. Somewhere in the world Monty cleared his throat remembering Furyk's woeful display on 18 at Winged Foot in 06.

It shows how pointless the champions tour is. Good on Alker but if he can clean those old blokes up and make more money in a few months on the champions tour than he did in the rest of his career combined, it’s not a great look. They should just bin that whole tour.

Absolutely baffles me as to how that Tour stays afloat. Who the hell is paying the sponsorship dollars required for those purses for such low-coverage events? Their TV deal must be stupendous.

The champions tour loses money and the PGA tour keeps it afloat. Perks of being a member run organization is that you get to run a whole tour just to use as a semi-retirement home for washed up pros with zero regard to the quality of the product. They should kill it off and pump more money into the Korn Ferry tour and televise that more.

    Fair point.

The anchoring ban doesn’t exist on that tour either.

Older blokes tend to have control of corporate purse strings, guess enough of them want to sponsor things and play in the pro am with players they know and perhaps have a few "beverages" with afterwards.

Or the alternate, sponsor a PGA event, play with some college dullard, share a protein bar and an iso drink by the 18th and head to the gym. Yippee

Could not agree more, two of the most successful players as well.

Reminds me of an Uber competitive senior pennant player at my former club, really nice guy but was taking the piss big time. I saw his broomstick touch his chest multiple times, particularly on the short ones.

Always waited to putt last as well.

That is exactly whats happening here in Australia especially in the proams. corporates are recognising better value from the seniors.

If you have Foxtel or Kayo, would be worthwhile checking out the last few hours of Rd 3 of the HPE event in Houston.

So many players making huge errors, on a clearly very difficult course. Fascinating to watch
