Shortish eagle putt on 16 would have rounded it off nicely

Embarrassing gag by the Queenslander lad. Such a shame.

Wasn't his best swing for the week.

If Finau was playing against anyone other than Smith, I would have been cheering him on. Seems like a decent bloke.

Shame for Smith, but well done Finau

I’m not sure even Tony Abbott is that far right

I hope nobody was depending on their Google newsfeed for a reliable report of this event.

My newsfeed announced that Cam Smith had won the event. As we all now know, he didn't.

And, just for Bushy, finally the Puerto Rico Open curse is broken! While I would've liked to see Smith win, Tony Finau needed the win a lot more. The number of top tens he had recorded since his Puerto Rico win without actually winning was insane.

Smith recovered well from the double earlier in the round, where he covered more ground than Burke and Wills.

His drive on the first playoff hole was completely counter to virtually all his last round (except the double of course). He was steady as a rock and putted super.

Nfi what happened on the tee...

It was a great playoff or "sudden death" as it seems to be called now. Plenty of chances for the big boy to win, but he choked.

Most play-offs over the last few months have been really exciting contests.

Perhaps except for Smith's last week, which was crap

Nice dummy spit by Bryson refusing to speak to the media after the playoff.

    Sore loser.

Anyone else have zero interest in this weeks net championship? More interest in the Korn Ferry 25 and the Solheim Cup

What do you mean this week? I've got zero interest in the PGA tour ANY week. It's shit. European Tour is a million times more entertaining.

Watching it now... they are only showing 4 players and no one else.. not kidding.. NOT ONE OTHER PLAYER

DJ, Rory, and 2 other Seppo's who are coming last.

    Seriously.. not one other player . . . .

Edit... 3.5 hours in and they have switched to a different feed.. we now see the others...

Sounds like the feature group feed. Painful to watch.

    Yep - just painful.

And agree - once Cam fell off the board.. have been skipping relentlessly.

True but liking tweets from people critical of Stricker’s decision to not pick him isn’t a great sign he’s OK not being on the team.

Don’t forget he openly criticised some of Furyk’s decisions after the last Ryder Cup.

Maybe he just like to thank his fans for their support. All he did was click a like. There is no way to know what he was thinking from that. It really must be a slow news day at Mygolfspy.
