This coverage is perhaps my favourite single golf TV experience of the year. Because, if it is the same as previous years, it starts with the first group, and you see every player hit off the first tee for a couple of hours. Lots of people you never see on TV, you see many different ways to swing, and sometimes, different strategies off the first tee.

As to the event, as usual I have no idea who wins. I imagine it will be a highly prominent player, but there is a chance of a really big upset. For the record, my small wagering stakes will go on DJ, Bryson, Rory, Patrick Reed and Ian Poulter as my long shot bet.

From what I can see only Langer called it unfair, and he isn't even playing. Just another Journalist beat up.

To be fair Langer only said it was the "most unfair" of all the open courses. That suggest other courses are also not fair.

And he probably didnt even come forward to say it either. The media will have gone out of their way to propogate the unfairness of the course and ask the players about it, then write up the headlines as if the players are whinging about it.

This is one of the most unbelievable stats I've ever heard.

I didn't see his last few holes, but he was missing greens then sinking everything. Including a chip in and sinking a putt from off the green.
