6. Colebrook* Pretty good nine holer with mostly very wide fairways. The greens had been sanded/cored (but they appear to run pretty quick) and a bit damp underfoot. Will try and play later in summer.

It's been a while since I played a new course, now that I have a membership. There's a risk that I won't overtake last year's total. I better get on to that.
Toogoolawah was about what I expected for the area. Very patchy fairways, with one club length preferred lie throughout the course, and greens that were kept long to disguise that it is a bit bumpy underneath. That said, I enjoyed playing it. It was nice and open, so you could have a lash. The greens in general were small targets though. The worst thing about the course was the swooping magpie on the 5th/14th, that also has a crack on 6/15.

Back on track after a Gold Coast day trip.
Tallai was all par 3s with the exception of one very short par 4. Plenty of elevation changes with the holes though, and the greens were quite good. Par 28. Cost $14.
Boomerang Farm had flat par 4s and par 5s to start off, and was heavily treed. The par 3s was were some elevation came in. I played with recently cored and sanded greens, that were extremely soft. Par 34. Cost $20.
Meadow Park was another almost completely par 3 course, and seemed very new and was quite fun. More open than the other two, and in surprisingly good condition. Par 28. Cost $18.
Tallebudgera is where people should go, if they want to beat a milestone score. It has 8 par 4s under 300m, and the fairways seemed quite wide, so you could have a lash. Greens were really furry, which made chipping hard, but I'm sure they are better on the weekends. Par 67. Cost $30.

Boomerang by far the better of all those courses, although the loss of the original 1st hole has ruined the course for me now.

Probably something that Google Maps changed

Yep, all short. Those 45 holes were probably completed in a similar total time to what a couple of full 18s would be.

Laidley has been the best of the Moreton District country golf courses so far. While it is preferred lies through the fairway, like most of them are, Laidley had good greens. The course was interesting too. It is a 12 hole course, and you play the first six a second time off different tees except for one hole.
I also did a drive by Gatton, which looked like it had green fairways, so I'll have to visit there before the year is out.
