Not sure what they charge now but I normally put $5 or $10 in the box as that is all its worth

I need to play Yorketown next time im down that way, might have a game over Easter
When Edithburgh get their green fairways and the wind comes up, it would play ok. The 220m Par 3 across the road with wind in your face is a toughie.

At least with Yorketown there are grass tee blocks and reasonable well grassed fairways to play off. I can't take the scrapes too seriously though.

McLeod survived the big rains over the last couple of weeks quite well. No preferred lies, and only a couple of soft spots. The corellas seem to be going to town on a couple of greens though.

Those corellas are a bloody nuisance, course I played in SA - Waikerie, the corellas had made a mess of the front nine greens - repair patches everywhere!

I admired Riversides approach using an automated blank shotgun every 10 or so minutes. Took a while to get used to the sound but boy the birds where sh*tscared

I played the spare 9 hole course at Virginia GC for the first time and was disappointed with it. It is a very short course, which is fine for the social only nine. The greens were very poor though, and there is so many times you can handle having your approach being blocked by trees while on the fairway. It might be okay for a social hit, but I think there are better and cheaper options.

I guess it counts as a new course, and probably won't stay in its current format for long. I'll revisit after the majority of works are finished, rather than during construction.

Not enough winter rain yet so I'd guess not.
Most of the scrapes courses playing season goes from May - Sep/Oct .

No it was bloody awful, every time you hit a shot the dust would just fling up into your eyes. Some d***head decided to illegally park and setup his caravan on the fairway of the ocean hole Par 4, completely oblivious when I questioned him

Yorketown surprised me, some good holes there, particularly the blind Par 4 (playing across the road) and the following Par 3. The treasurer got a little grumpy because my brother in law and I turned up on a Saturday and they were about to start the official comp (consisting of about 4 groups). The captain didn't mind so that started an internal riot, t'was funny to watch.

Some people, the caravan park is 500m down the road.
I struck a bloke at Yorketown who gave a full rundown on the holes prior to playing, then checked in when I finished to see how I liked it. Yea some of the holes at Yorke were ok.

Another first time course. There has been some discussion on the course in the WDYSTM thread, but I expected it to be worse that what it was. While it was very wet at the time, it seemed like the conditioning would be pretty good usually and the greens rolled pretty well. I didn't have any big issues with the layout either, although the 2nd on Weston was too long (400m) considering it was a dogleg at around 200m.

My first time back to Wynnum in over 8 years, so it was good to revisit. I couldn't remember every hole beforehand, but once playing, they came back to me. Definitely worth another venture when it is a bit drier.
