    Port fairy today.
Turned up needing the sh1tter,nope.Moved up 2 groups so straight to the 10th.3 putt bogey and I was struggling.4 points thru 5 and I was sweating.11 points after the first 9 was a GREAT score.Straight to the loo where I made a bit of a stench.Did a runner with the old nose closed to the 1st tee,our tenth.Felt a bit better and in for a bogey. Then after that felt normal and started into a rhythm.Finished with an awesome birdie on the last hole.200m drive into a southeasterly,5 iron from 161 to centre green and then a 4 metre putt with a slight double break into centre cup.1 over
    3 wipes
    1 birdie
    Some pars
    And a stinky poos.
    31 points.
Port Fairy is a hidden gem

    09/01/2020 Moruya GC - Stableford

    Stats: 79% Fairways, 33% Greens - 30 Putts
    Score: PTPPPPDBB BPPBPPbBP 43:37:: 80 (+7:+2:+9) Slope 136 Scratch 71 - Played to 7.5

The course was soft again today after some heavy rain during the week. Had a solid - 37 Points. Driving was consistent again, just a couple of push drives that lead to a double on one par 4 and a bogey on a reasonable easy par 5. Managed a birdie on the 16th again but missed a few good opportunities.

Backed up last Saturday's MM Gross win with an A Grade win yesterday, albeit in a reduced field due to afternoon storms.

    74 for 38pts. 5 birdies, every one back-to-back with a bogey.

Pennants today. Driver couldn't have been worse, but managed to fight back from 4 down to halve the match.

Well done mate, would have been a warm one if you didn't play early.

    Well done, Courty.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

    12/01/2021, Victoria Park GC, Solo.

    Stats: 4/10 fairways, 9/18 greens, 31 putts.
Score: PBBBPPPPP PPPPbBPPB; 37:32:69 (+3:+1:+4); Played to 8.9.

A nice early wake up to be first off at 5am at Victoria Park on Cheap Tuesday ($17). Unfortunately, they had people going off the other nine as well later on, so my round slowed down, but I was still in at work just after 8am.

It's an easy course to score well on since it is so short, but I still hit it well. I need to do better from within 100 to convert, and while the putting was good by leaving tap ins all the time, hitting it hard enough to go past the hole would have seen more putts drop. Besides my first tee shot without warm up, I was pretty happy with the driver; it feels like I have a bit more control over it now.

I just need to wait for my official handicap to catch up with my good play now, because I'm off 8.5 if I track all of my social rounds like they do in the U.S.

Next round: I was meant to play Gatton on the weekend just gone, until it got COVID-canned, but I'll probably aim to play a more local comp this weekend.

You're good. Too good for me to bother comparing our handicaps anymore. Well done, Courty!

Another 2 shots added to the handicap, out to 24.2. Oldest counted scored now December 2013. Bottom three scores are all flagged so unless some sort of miracle occurs the handicap will be going up for a little bit.

An 'almost' round for me today. Almost a good score. Almost some good ball striking. Almost some good putting.

34 points sounds Ok, but due to some good short game escapes I was one up with two to play, and finished double and bogey to drop 3 over the last two. The score was a bit smoke and mirrors, so I suppose justice was served at the end.

Nearly didn't play this morning after gastro ripped through my household earlier in the week, but decided to have a go (and took my son, giving me an excuse to get a cart instead of walking). At +6 through 6 and a wild tee shot on 7 I was thinking it wasn't a great idea, but managed to pull it back to something reasonable.

    PBXBBBPPP-PbPPPPBPB - 78/33pts

Shot of the day was a low drawing 3i out of the trees from ~175 to 2 feet on 11. Had a few bad shots, probably most dissappointed in the ~5 feet birdie putts on 12 and 13 that I missed - particularly on 13 when I left it short.
