    Default Golfing in Port Stephens

Hey guys, hitting PS in Jan for family holidays. Hoping to get a few rounds in. Horizons looks like an automatic choice. Any other spots recommended?
    Cheers

I played Horizons a few weeks ago and have played it multiple times over the years......it's OK, seems to be running on a shoestring budget but that's not unexpected given what's been occurring and its history.

Not a great fan of Nelson Bay, its too tight for me, if there's some availability would just drive down to Newcastle GC (about 40kms)

Not sure about Pacific Dunes in Medowie, it used to be great but was very average when I played there a few years ago.

Nelson Bay is fine with 27 holes but as PG said some of the holes are very tight but it’s usually in very good condition.

    Nice clubhouse with good food.

Newcastle would be top of the list, followed by Pac Dunes, then Horizons. Nelson Bay would be convenient, but not a course I find enjoyable..

Nelson Bay was in great nick when I played it. As previously stated it is tight in places and local knowledge helps as there are quite a few dogleg holes and blind tee shots. I found it quite good to play, played with some locals so that helped.
