Possibly hang out for a G425 demo. Notable increases in ball speed I've been told.

Give the new Srixon ZX fairway woods a go. They are a lovely club with great performance, a brand that seems to be constantly forgotten about and very underrated. I currently go between the previous model in the zf85 and a mizuno st200ts depending on the course. The srixon tends to be the more used of the 2, just haven’t gotten around to upgrading it to the new model as yet.

The G410 is longer but I find the G400 exceptionally consistent. I’m after reliability not pure distance with my FW. Be aware, Ping changed adapters between the G400 and the G410 series. They r not interchangable. I would get a new/vgc G400 if it was me.
Thanks Pete. I don't think I'll be buying another fairway without at least trying a G400/410/425. Sounds like they all work well. Interesting that you prefer the 400 over the 410.

Haha pretty much, unless I find an M5 as everyone seems to be giving them tour jizz level reviews.

Took my new maverick 4wood to the range today. It’s got a stiff riptide shaft which I believe was the main reason for improved dispersion. Coming from G25 3wood reg flex it was hard to tell any difference in distance because of a huge tail wind. As always it’s fun to play with shiny things.

What else did you try before you bought the Maverick?

Only TS3 but I didnt play well that day and decided just to move on. Also using a new 410crossover 3iron to replace G25 hybrid both new clubs are giving more confidence of hitting straighter shots or maybe it's the misses aren't as bad.

Baldo Competzione 5 wood. Happy face like the TM 07 Burner but with more heel relief. Similar to Ping G2.Has Forged face and carbon crown. Avg 245 with this rocket and its straight as.

Tried TS2 and 3, Sim rocket and the Baldo outperforms them both on feels, workability and distance.

    Thats my pick.

In typical Ozgolf fashion I've skipped all testing and bought a club online - A TaylorMade M5 Titanium 3 wood.

I'm generally pretty anti TM mostly due to the ridiculous amount of club releases per year and general gimmicky marketing approach.

However based on member feedback and the fact I've hit the SIM titanium 3 wood which is quite similar in construction I thought I'd give it a go. I also previously, albeit briefly owned the M1 3 wood and liked the head design.

The clincher was the price on GCO especially with an additional 10% off code, thanks BYU.
