Default Adam Scott on arm lock putting

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-11-...-2020/12866650

Interesting opinion from Adam Scott - he's not wrong that Bryson's putting has improved significantly even though everyone focuses on his length, but he's not exactly in a position to criticise putting techniques.

I've recently put an arm lock putter in the bag, but I'm the only golfer I know using one.

I love Scotty but he's always putted like he was holding a snake. I don't think he's taking a big shot at Bryson here with these comments. I also have to say I agree with him. If you're going to ban belly putters or anchoring any putters into the chest or gut why can you lock it into your forearm which then takes the wrist out of it? There's some logic to what he's saying.

    Where is he criticising?

"I tried the arm-lock method and, to be honest, it was more anchored than anything I was ever doing. So I can see them taking action like they did before to me and others for sure," Scott said ahead of his own Masters tilt.

Based off Bryson's results, especially if he continues the way he is going, and of course if the trend sees more and more players using it, it would be no surprise to see it banned.

"There's no doubt the rule makers have had their ears pricked up with his incredible play.

"The reality is, it's not easy for other players to add that much muscle to your body but it is easy to change your putter."

If you saw him in 2002 you would understand. He missed two putts about 30 cms in the Australian open at Victoria (saw it live from about 5 meters away) Losing control of your wrists on short putts is debilitating

The only way he can putt is by clamping the wrist
