    Default Screw The Game

After a few weeks of gradual improvement (4 flagged rounds in 6. Handicap from 6.9 to 5.5) I thought I was back into some nice form then the last 2 rounds I have totally lost it. 32 points and 28 points.

I am switching between taking time off, or doubling up on actually practicing and working on it all.

Man this game is so frustrating!!

You're crazy if you think every round is going to be a flag.

You're an amateur. Chill out and enjoy the good rounds.

Do neither. I've tried the take time off method a few times, and it didn't work for me. Concentrated practice never works for me.

Perhaps some attention to whatever the greatest weakness was (hooks, fades, duffed chips, whatever) to restore confidence. But above all, reduce your expectation and just get out on the course and enjoy being there.

Alternatively, make a representation to the Premier, asking for the covid restrictions to be restored.

Have 6 months of it and come talk to me. Actually, don’t talk to me. Ever.

1 and a half years of scoring low 20's. I was getting very frustrated. A lot had to do with my swing and trying to hit it further and further.
Walked away just to see if I would miss the game. I still have no passion for the game anymore, but just enjoy our monthly social.

Why couldn't you just have no expectations off 10.5?

    27 off 10.5 you've played as well as 36 off 19.

It will be the feel good hit of summer.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Some very good golfers have failed to average 30 over the years.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!
