Well done Benno, very solid round. Without the doubles it would have been exceptional!!

The new driver is working well. The two doubles we're finding the thick rough off the tee hitting safety clubs I also bogied index 17 and 18!?!?

I was brimming with confidence this morning, but it wasn't to be. Can't just post the good rounds I guess.

    BPPBPBPPB-BBPPBBBBP for 81/32 points

Putter was cold - 34 putts, two 3 putts, not enough up & downs. Could've been better off the tee, but wasn't terrible. I guess I'm in a good place when I have a bad round and shoot 81.

A bad round isn't as bad when you avoid those Xs in your scoring. I can't remember when I last did that.

Day 1 of my cousins golf trip
    Course: Mt Compass
Stableford comp. 20/20 for 40 points off 16 (84 off the stick).
    XPBXBBPPb PXPBBBPBb

This is probably the most solid round I've played this year. Drove it really well hitting 10/14 fairways. Definitely a record for me. My irons were also solid too, hitting 10/18 greens in regulation. The M5 went great off the tee as well. Not as good off the fairways but small sample size.

Great round. 16hc is way too high for you. How are you finding the regular flex shaft in the 3w?

Yeah pretty good. It's not overly soft as I have a pretty smooth (read slow) transition. Cap just dropped another 0.8 today.

Very good round. Those are really great stats suggesting it could have been even better.

Thanks Hatch. I 4 putted the 1st hole after a careless tap in attempt. Although my putting wasn't bad for most of the day I did have a couple 3 putts. Some greens were lightning and some were slow.

You can get some long Putts there that have a bit of contour and slope to navigate if your in the wrong spots. Good distance control with that long Putt can set up a very good round around there.

04/12/2020, Hamilton Island GC, Solo Round.

    Stats: 7/14 fairways, 7/18 greens, 30 putts.
    Score: PXPBBPPPX PXBBPbXXX; 44:47:91; (+8:+12:+20).

I started with a lip out birdie, which could have been a sign that I was hitting it well, but it ended up being an on and off round. Some good shots, but the bad shots were bad enough to cop the full penalty of being lost balls.

Holes 14 and 15 were the highlight for me, with a flushed 4 iron into the wind for green centre on the par 3 14th, then two well struck three hybrid shots to the green on 15, then draining the downhill putt for the birdie.

My golf game must have thought the job was done after that, as I proceeded to hit big pulls for the remaining three holes for every full shot, resulting in eight over with five lost balls for those holes, and I threw in a couple of shanked chips just for good measure. What a way to ruin a round.

Next round: I will be trying to convince the family to play Whitsunday greens near Airlie Beach on Tuesday.

Rubbish round today, although I did manage 4 birdies, 2 of which were on holes I hadn't birdied yet for my ozgolf eclectic, so that's something.

Missed fairways, greens and short putts. 83/76.

Well that started messy.Had a late night at a Christmas drinks, then a committee meeting after 5 hrs sleep.Had to get a lift to the course,I wasn't going to risk it.And best of all,MM.
And after 12 points on the front thanks to some exceptional guesses(No range finder or gps),I grabbed 3 travellers of JW.Downed the the first before getting to the tee box, striped a drive that left me with another guess of how far I was.In for par, downed the next can,had a good burp, then it was on.

    12/20 for 32 points
    43 front 9
    37 back 9
Made a hatchet job of putting
    1 birdie

Round 2 of cousins golf trip
    Course: South Lakes
Stroke round: 92 gross for 75 net

What a difference a day makes in both weather and form. It felt like a category 3 hurricane for the first 8 holes. 50kmh winds and rain meant most of our time was spent trying to stay dry and upright. I drove the ball well again hitting 9/14 fairways however my irons were rubbish and my putting equally bad. Only 2 greens in reg and 35 putts tells the story. Onto Victor Harbour Golf Course tomorrow for the last round.

    Default WDYSTM - December 2020

The whole week I was looking forward to playing today, what an idiot.
Coming off afternoon I went for the afternoon round at Balaklava. It absolutely hosed down hard for 30min on the drive up. Never saw any rain after that when I got to the Golf Course but it blew its guts out all day.
The reason for my pre round excitement was the shoot out between the Titleist TS2 and Cobra F9 Drivers and Titleist TS2 3wood with AD DI-7s.
Plan was to alternate tee shots with the Drivers the whole round.
Not much good came of the round. Pitching and Chipping was woeful barely able to get it on the green yet anything close. Think I just had my worst game with the putter that I can remember with x4 3 jiggles and not scaring the hole with anything else.
Driver shoot out didn’t go to well either for one of the Drivers. The F9 was a complete lemon splatting it all over the face and ball flight was awful. If I’d paid full retail for one and hit it like that I would be madder than hell. The Titleist however was very good with some big dead straight drives hit only to screw it from there.
The F2 3wood went much better with the AD AD-7s.
Best thing to come of the day was dropping a flag and going out more.

I found the F9 too head light. Maybe try and add some lead tape. I was hit and miss with it .

That's surprising mate. I was thinking the F9 might be a bomber for you. Good to hear the TS2 saved the day. Golf was all round a hard slog today. Not the best day to be testing drivers.

I was equally surprised as I was disappointed with how the F9 went.
I’m sort of mixed on a crap blowy day being bad for testing. Bad in not sure what’s wind effect and swing/driver.
I did mix them up with into and down wind. TS2 had bullets in both.
F9 was just shite in both and sad.
Think Matt3jab got it right in head being light.
I love heavy headed clubs as a rule.
Wasn’t sure if it was just the heavy Axivcore Shaft being completely wrong for the head or if the heads just completely wrong for me.
I’ll put a tip on the AD DI-6s and see if I can get a better result.
