Default No golf in Melbourne still but you can picnic on the course ☠️

I have to say I’ve just about had it with this lock down and rules that make little to no sense. Saw this post on reddit about how the picnic people want war with golfers. There really enjoying using the course to sit in the sun and don’t want it to be a golf course when we’re allowed to play again. I for one would be more then happy to go to war with them. How is it ok to be able to picnic with up to 5 people from 2 different house holds but I can’t shank my 5 iron with a mate. Socially distancing and wearing a mask of course. Ok rant over. But here’s the article of your keen to get your blood boiling like me. https://www.reddit.com/r/melbourne/comments/j8fonm/northcote_your_golf_course_is_ours_now_if_you/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioss mf

They probably live within 5km of it, so lucky them. Once the 5km rule is lifted we can play, no chance of that happening any day soon.

Good luck getting back on course shortly lads.

Seems despite the anecdotal evidence of increased participation public golf courses are under attack and the individual clubs seem to be forced to fend for themselves.

One of the inner west Sydney clubs has had a win recently with council renewing their lease however I didn't see Golf Australia getting involved. As there are no global jaunts, elite development camp BS or whatever else they do, you would think they could saddle up for a few of these battles.

The board of Golf Australia? Who knows, but they are the worst administrators in the country. Make the ARU look like professionals.

Best of luck having a picnic once the course is open and people are playing, the cops will be called to remove the idiots having a picnic because of public safety concerns.

Same happened at Mona Vale a few years ago, some muppets decided to have a picnic on the 10th fairway and were told to move but refused so the cops were called and they left.

Same old dribble on that article: nobody plays golf anymore, it's only for the elites etc.

Karen had better get a helmet and safety gear, she can make another video of her trip to Bunnings.

I bet Dan won't be going back to his club for a long while after the ban is lifted.
