@billp @bushy how is the G425 performing? I have a gun M5 driver, but when I go to collect my irons from Drummonds, I will demo the PING and SRIXON drivers to test them against the M5. Anyone aware of a better price than $900???

TBH I’m swinging it like a custard head at the moment due to a bit of a shoulder injury BUT it is still killing it when I decide to swing like a golfer.

I’ve never felt a more forgiving driver across the face. My Arccos data has shown how much distance I’ve picked up, I just need to take a bit more advantage of it.

This may be shocking but it’s been that good I’m booked in to get fit and try out some Ping irons next week.

I am the same as Bushy, my swing is not always the greatest, but because of the forgiveness I am finding more fairways with better distance than the old driver. I am especially loving the tensei orange shaft I was fitted to, it is so smooth.
It gets peoples attention when you hit it, the sound takes a bit to get used to.

Thanks Bushy / Bill / Perci, I will definitely demo it.

Anyone seen a better quote than $900 ?

Mine was $830. Power Golf had 10% off all ping gear at some point so $810.

which club organised the fitting day? that is a sharp price, Drummonds will price match, but how does one prove a price on a PING product to have them match it?

Just had a hit of the LST and Max - typical ping still not low spin enough, felt great though. But gave up distance vs the TSI3, Sim and Speedzone.

How to all them compare against that JBeam missile launcher you've got?

well short, everything was. issue is the beam launched today @ 15 with 2000 spin, don’t think usdm aim for those figures. I thought (and was hoping) after 5 or 6 years the beam would be superseded.

the 425 was one of the best feeling and I didn’t think the sound was bad the fitter said everyone hated the sound but it was a pitched thud when I hit it

Any noticeable forgiveness advantages with the PING's? I've read a bit about the distance not being there, but miles ahead on forgiveness (i.e. dispersion).

To me yeah huge forgiveness. Although I’m getting good distance out of it too. Had my longest drive with it today according to Arccos (292m).

More forgiving and straighter than any of the others but a good 15 behind the others and 25 behind my current setup. The fitter called it and said not for you i really wanted to make it work.

What's contributing to this? Too higher spin?

Yes can’t remember to spin rate exactly- would have to set it up with the lowest loft and the heaviest shaft to reduce spin but then loose way to much in height to achieve anything - fwiw Yesterday I was 106mph & +4 AOA spin is a killer for any + AOA
