    • 79 Asquith Golf Club - struggled with a bad back and had a shank on 7th
    • 72 Blackheath golf club - great condition with excellent greens
    • 75 Wentworth Falls - Greens firm and fast - fairways a bit dry
    • 76 Leura Golf club - Visually spectacular course on back 9 - 16th Tee block is awesome (make sure you have a crack at hitting driver to the 3 sisters behind the tee)
    • 77 at Ryde/Parra off the back markers on Friday- great course with really interesting back 9

75 (Par 72). Best round this year.

5 over on the front, par 10, par 11, bogey 12. 6 over with 6 to play which compared to recent rounds is still not bad.

13 is a par 5, 480m with a 1-2 club tail wind. Driver-hybrid into the greenside pot, sand shot to 1 foot, tap in birdie.
14 par 4, 407m back into the wind, Driver then a punch hybrid to just left of the green. Soft little chip up on and it dropped, back to back birdies.
15 par 4 - 348 cross wind. Driver to 120, 9 iron to 8 feet, drop the putt. 3 birdies on the bounce.

16-18 I gave myself 10-12 foot for birdie every hole but missed them all. Got a bit conscious of the score!

Was good to play well again, but as always feel like I left some out there!

SA OzGolf game at Lake Albert
Bad start with Driver set up a very ordinary start of tree snooker bogey, dome into long grass with an all hit quad then a block cut lost ball double.
Driver didn't improve much from there but didn't find trouble as bad as that so made a heap of pars and bogeys.
3/13 was the fairway count for the day.

    Sat 79(33pt)
    Sun 74(39pt)

Considering I had 2 doubles in the first 3 holes before doubling the 10th as well, Sunday was as good as I’ve hit it for a while.

Back on the course after a couple of weeks off due to skin cancer related injury, and I really enjoyed it.

Part of the reason why I enjoyed it is that I played well, much to my surprise, for an honest 36 points. Hit lots of greens in reg, but always seemed to be 50 feet away trying to get down in two rather than racking up the birdies.

My partner holed a 40 footer on the last to give us a 1 up win, our first win for a while, just to make it sweeter. No joy with the keno ticket though.

80/74. Thought I played pretty well, putts just wouldn't drop. Didn't make a single birdie, and played the par 5s on 3 over.

87/79 in the Coal City cup at Sandy Gallop. First time playing 18 holes in over 4 1/2 years. Wasn’t too bad off the tee, even some good approaches but from 100 mtrs in I had zero idea. Made a double on a par 4 after hitting 3 wood from the tee to 10 short of the green. Had a quad and a few doubles. Work in progress for sure.

Golf back baby, and come rain(and it did)and the cool weather wasn't going to keep me away.
Been getting some ok practice, have only hit full shots in the net a few times, spent most of it working on the takeaway and finish.Short game was good, putting was very good.
32 points for a first outing, playing off 8.For whatever reason, ball striking with irons was very good, and have found a few extra metres with a more stable set up

Apparently this was enough to get me into the matchplay section of our club champs. I'm as surprised as you are.

Was very keen for a hit yesterday after the Titleist 910D2 arrived Thursday.
Too early to play at home club on the back of an afternoon shift finish Friday night so wander 60min up the road to an old home club Balaklava. Was great catching up with some more members that weren’t there last time I went in July. Wind was blowing its guts out and the greens were as furry as a 70’s centrefold.

Started well with the 910D2 hitting all but 1 drive on the front 9 to effective playable position. From there and more so around the green it was a complete disaster. Went long on 3 of the holes and 2 chipped 4 greens with the second chip never close enough to hole a saving putt. Result was a wtf just happened 10 over 46 for the 9.

Started bogey, par, bogey on the back nine after finally hitting a decent chip on the par 3 10th from a terrible lie to 5 foot but in a moment of lapsed concentration forgot to hammer the put hard on furry greens leaving it knocking on the door. The 12th was bogeyed after a great drive split the centre then air mailed the green leaving not much hope of an up and down.
From then on it was pars all the way home with some up and downs amongst the greens in reg and a holly crap I was only 2 over on the back when checking scores at the end for 46-38-84 nett 74. Was very pleased with that given the conditions.

Came away very happy how the 910D2 went with the Ahina Shaft. While maybe not quite as long as my BioCell+ or Jetspeed Drivers on the really good strikes it did seem a bit more effortless to control.

27 points this morning. Short game is very rough and only hitting 4 GIR didn't help.

Still just nice to be out in spite of looking like a drowned rat at the end of the round.

Maybe I should've. Missed a 4 footer on 16 to go down 3&2. Pretty happy with my showing given the 6 shot handicap difference (scratch matchplay).
