Announcement just made that no new cases related to this found today.
Dealing now with all the pi$$ed off publicans being stripped back to 100 people.
F**cking gyms shut again only after we were allowed to have fans back on Monday.

    • Competitive sport and training cancelled (indoor and outdoor)
    Whatever that means!

The SA premier has responded strongly; we need to take into consideration the following measures:

Community sports fixtures and training temporarily cancelled for both indoor and outdoor sports, as well as contact and non-contact sports

Beat me to it. Some suggestion the ban is likely to be for two weeks.

Max of 100 for Pubs and Clubs and max booking of 10 so that's Champs Dinner with a problem as we had a booking for 14.
I've got feeling with whats happened the whole champs may be compromised.

I listened to the Premier's announcement while driving to work and herd exactly that but immediately after he mentioned things like boot camps were ok so I'm a bit confused.

Bear in mind we won't have any QLD visitors, unless the premier does a 360 in the space of a week

The worst thing would be to play ignorant and then have events cancelled on us on the actual day, not a good look either

I say we wait a few days, then make a call Thursday / Friday, lets face it; all signs are currently pointing to cancel.

Not sure if you've already paid anything to Mount Compass yet TC but none of the 2 Champs days have had any money paid to the Golf Clubs yet so it's easy from my end to wait until 4-5 days before the days to cancel and start sending refunds to everyone.

Hopefully bad case is it's a locals only Champs.
Worst case it's no Champs at all.

Most of the announcements are very contradictory.

No competitive sports indoor or outdoor, no gyms, yet fitness classes are allowed outdoors = Marshall's wife does bootcamp
150 people allowed at weddings, only 50 at a funeral = What weddings are the politicians attending in the next few weeks?

Professor Sprogmeoff stating accidents do not happen under her watch and department. No amount of meetings and sitting behind a desk will stop an accident.

Upset that all the hard work of a few people has been put in jeopardy.

Just posted on the VHGC FB page:

Covid Restrictions are again being enforced in SA. See below for the list of restrictions.
This will affect VHGC and we will be in touch as soon as we have further information.
    Thanks

    Dear Colleagues,
As you may be aware, the Premier has announced new restrictions in South Australia from MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. This includes -
▪️Suspension of all indoor and outdoor sport training and competition (for two weeks initially)
▪️Closure of gyms and recreation centres
▪️Closure of play cafes and trampoline venues (eg: Bounce)
▪️Private gatherings at licenced venues capped at 50
▪️Hospitality venues capped at 100 with distancing requirements returning to 1 person per 4 square metres
    ▪️Outdoor, non-contact boots camps/personal training can proceed
▪️Those events requiring a Covid Management Plan are suspended
▪️No stand-up alcohol consumption allowed at licensed venues – even outdoors

It sounds like a reinstatement of the previous restrictions to me, so golf should still be ok, but who knows. Don't see how golf can be banned if boot camps aren't...

But during those previous restrictions golf clubs were only allowing members to play, NO guests! (which is how I ended up being a member of TPGC)

What kind of membership? I’m looking at the social membership but it isn’t clear what the playing rights are from the website

Just published on Golf Australia website under SA directive.

    Premier's Announcement 16th November
Golf Australia is aware of the announcement by the Premier this afternoon (16 November), and will publish advice in relation to the changed emergency directives on this page and in direct communication to clubs once it comes to hand.

Latest updated from RAGC has limits on clubhouse numbers etc, golf and guests unaffected at this stage

NSW have kept the border open for now. Victoria are going to treat it like a 'case by case' scenario

    I am officially out.

Even if no new cases are recorded in the next few days, without flights to and from Gold Coast it is just too hard for me to make it work.

If things still happen, good luck to all. If not, good luck to all in keeping safe and healthy.

And if the Champs are postponed to Feb/March or some other time next year, I'll do everything I can to go.

this is a viable option; weather is nicer and Adelaide is booming in March with the festivals on. Hopefully covid free for a number of months by then

The Qld Health Minister confirmed the CHO's comment this morning, by saying that Adelaide has to have 28 consecutive days of no community transmission before restrictions are removed. I was hopeful that they may re-assess and limit the hotspot to northern Adelaide, but it is wishful thinking on my part, so I guess I have to go and cancel all of my bookings now.

That wont matter, you’ve been Covid free since April or something TC.

The two fear mongering Premiers in WA and QLD have now proven they’re more than willing to pull the pin after 1-2 days of a contained cluster. Goes to show what a shitshow they are and the confidence they have in their own Health systems.

Imagine those people that flew out of SA thinking they were good to go only to be forced into quarantine when they land? Effectively ruled out any plans to get to my baby sisters wedding in Yallingup in Feb.

    Sorry lads, I’m out.

    Everything has now been cancelled
