Default How to make a driver quiet without hotmelt?

The driver im still testing hasn't got the best sound. I haven't got any hotmelt.

Any other way to tone down the sound??

I've heard cotton balls / wool??

    Cheers all

years ago i stuffed a tin can driver with the foam balls from a bean bag, until no more and it made no difference.

I used polyester stuffing on my last try. Worked a treat.

Matty cotton balls will work fine.

I recommend inserting a plastic bag into the head, then putting the cotton balls into the bag.

I've found if you miss the ball, you only hear a whoosh sound. Sometimes laughter if you play with friends.

This is what I've done for multiple drivers. If you have an old pillow (I've conveniently got one with a zipper that allows me to remove as needed), it can save buying the stuffing.

I decide on how much based on how much weight I want to add. I've put 10g into a Ping head previously, but only added a few grams to a TM head and noticed a impact on sound.

    Wool/yarn is also an option.
I put around 5m in a G30 to dull the noise. Guided/pushed it in one continuous length with a skewer.
Used a bit of wire with a small hook to grab it and pulled it out before selling it.
