Contact Details for Tour Pros????
Good evening everyone. I am new to the Forum & got here by way of research for a project. I am a member at Sanctuary Cove & am starting out to create a "club history" as well as the true story behind the development of the resort itself.
I was trying to make contact with Curtis Strange (won the 1988 Sanctuary Cove Classic) & Rodger Davis (won the 1991 & 1992 SC Classics). Also Laura Davies & Peter Senior who participated in a Skins Event in the 90's with Tom Watson (I think) & John Daley. Does anyone know how you would go about contacting any of these people? I would like to talk to them about those events & their recollections of the courses, the club, the resort etc etc.
Similarly, if anyone in the Forum has interesting personal recollections of any of these events i would be interested to hear them! Any help gladly accepted!
My email is greg@globalgolf.com.au if you have anything you'd prefer to share directly & not on a forum.
Thanks in advance.

Rodger Davis and Peter Senior live on the gold Coast. I think both are members at Lakelands, if not one is. (on second thoughts maybe Lakelands doesnt have members any more but I am pretty sure one day a week many of the local golf pros have a 'pay for play' friendly tournament once a week.
Adam Scotts father is a member at Sanctuary cove, there is a fair chance he would be your best contact to get in touch with most of those that you have mentioned.
Also talk to any of the older pro's working in the golf shops at SC. I know that one of them will know everyone.

Criticism doesn't bother me, as it means I am doing something and people are watching.

If you can somehow get access to the internet it might make things easier too.

Genuinely hard not to be a bit cynical of a free advertising attempt. Maybe a mod should remove old mates email address.

Thank you for the welcome to the forum & also for the leads!
I came to the Forum because it turned up in a search for info on the architect of the original Palms...not in search of free advertising. Following on from that i thought the Forum participants would have some good suggestions on contacting these personalities...which they have. Thank you.
The cynicism was unexpected & is unwarranted.

Cool, I’m sure most people working at a golf travel website would have little exposure to google

Seriously Greg,
the first place I would try is the Aus PGA Tour.
Pete Senior has recently played in some Senior Open events.
They should have some sort of contact with guys of that generation.
Next, I would contact Mike Clayton. MAC would know of their whereabouts!
He is active on twitter.
I know a good John Daly story but you would get sued if you published it!
Welcome by the way!

Welcome Greg, I can't help but remember a story Todd Sampson (ABC) told about being in NZ.
He wanted to talk to Sir Edmund Hillary and was asking if anyone had a contact. One of the Kiwis said, look him up in the phone book.....yep, he was there, Hillary, Sir Edmund. He rang him and went around to his house the following day.
Back to regular programming.
