My 3.5 year old is really looking forward to this after last time (even though he nearly froze to death) - he ask me if I was going to win, but I told him we're just playing for fun (although I was wearing my red jacket at the time )

Forecast is a bit windy, but shouldn't rain very much.

Default AUGUST Round 8am on Sun 30th Murray Bridge

Thanks for the hit guys, day 2 of my abbreviated short swing trial with mixed results. Lots of distance gained but keeping it on the planet a challenge. Trying to eliminate over twisting my lower back as it is wreaking havoc on the L5.

Course was in reasonable nick, for me the pick of holes are 10 and #17. The remaining a mixed bag.

Hotel was solid without being spectacular. Will be at Strath next month fitness permitting and will probably have a late Sat arvo round at Compass if anyone is interested

Thanks for the hit today all, I've not ventured out for a while so it was good to catch up again - even hit a few good shots!

Was hitting it very consistently Nadg, almost like you’ve been secretly playing regularly again

Thanks everyone for the hit today, enjoyable as always.
Made a couple of pars on the front 9 and birdied the 9th again without seeing the fairway again.
Played some solid golf on the back 9 making 6 pars. Screwed my 2 best drives for the day. First one on the Par 5 12th that left a second shot of 180m. Decided to hit an easy 4 wood instead of 3 iron and proceeded to snap hook it into the water hazard 50m short of the green. The other left 65m into the Par 4 18th. Didn’t hit the 56 hard enough coming up short then chipped poorly too.
Used the yellow TP5 today and was happy with the feel and being able to spot the Ball easily in dry rough. Wasn’t impressed they had a liking for water and roads though. Drowned 2 and road rashed one of the 2.

Had the pork ribs in sticky Bourbon sauce for lunch. Was quite nice but not exactly what I was thinking of when ordering. Was expecting a rack of Ribs but it came out as big thick 2 bone Rib Eye pice of Pork.
Waza’s Lamb Shank was huge and looked very nice.

Thanks for the hit guys. Had a great day out, tried a couple of shafts in the driver. Even hit a draw on the first hole after setting up for my gay fade.
Hit the ball pretty well all day. Really only had the one bladed shot when trying to go over the right trees on 10.
Meal was good as usual. I had the right choice of lamb shank. Only shank I had all day.

    Look forward to the next.

    good day, thanks guys.

The redevelopment of the now unused race course behind the 9th and 13th holes was announced today.
Two holes will be in the development, and a par 71 results.
I suspect the par 3 4th hole will go, and the par 4 9th might be extended into the racetrack as a par 5, with a further par 5 coming back as a new 9th hole. We will see.

The racetrack was rebuilt at Murray Bridge on land not suitable for housing.

That's interesting, I'll have to keep an eye on how it develops.

I really enjoyed the course - particularly the 10th, and also the par 5 8th. Hatchman will be disappointed if they change the 9th hole though...
