Default S.A-Vic Golf & Pinball - Try again in 2021

Put a line through 2020 on this now. Will bump at some stage next year (2021) and try again.

Putting this up early to see how much interest from others there is for a trip that a couple of us are certainly planing to do hopefully later this year and before our return to the South East Limestone Coast.

The trip we have been discussing behind the scenes is a 3 day one involving 1 S.A course and 2 Victorian ones. All 3 courses are quality courses.

We would play Bordertown on the way up on Friday then drive over the border to Nhill and stay at the Oasis Motel.
On Saturday we would drive on to Horsham and have a round there then back to the Oasis Motel at Nhill.
On Sunday we would play Nhill then head back home.

The Motel we would be staying at also has the Pin Ball Museum next door and is owned by the Motel owners. The Pin Ball Machines are working and playable hence why we are staying here.
This whole trip is very dependent on Covid-19 status and restrictions. Hopefully things are back to what we knew as normal by this time or we defer until such time that it is.

I'll start the ball rolling by mentioning December would be out as we want to keep this free for the Xmas Cup.

Last week of October/ first week of November would be no good for me.

Second half of September and other weeks of October/November would be my preference.

Potentially early October is good as I can combine it with other activities in Melbourne

I'm keen. All being well on the covid situation, my only other unknown is my work situation. That said, I should be able to take a day or two off. My preference is October as we've got Grades Champs in November.

So not bothering with SA Champs this year!? (not that we can do much regarding that at the moment anyway)

Champs may be quite difficult to pencil in dates that allow interstate travelers to plan and join in with all the Covid crap.
It may end up being just a local 2 day event organised at short notice or if we get a majority of interest for one of these trips incorporate as the Champs as well at a very long shot?

If it's the summer we could do Nhill and Horsham in one day. With a 3 hour round pace it will be fine. This will give you an easier time on the Sunday returning to Adelaide as you could play Keith on the way home

Both courses are pretty flat and short

    Interesting...
If still cant travel overseas by end of the year, which is very likely I will be busting for a golf trip, and the pinball machines sounds like heaven.

    I'm good with that.

Lets aim for Oct 9-10-11 then. I'll amend the OP to reflect this.
Hopefully by August crossing borders is not restricted and we can make some bookings to lock it in.

There's a small chance I could make this, but will depend on the travel situation between SA and QLD. Don't count me in, likely to be a late inclusion of anything.

Best bakery on that run is the one in Bordertown that is built in an old manufacturing shed. This is my goto whenever I do the Adel-Mel car run

Just read that some bozo who attended the recent BLM demonstration in Melbourne has since tested positive for Covid. If he's infected any number of others at that rally our trip to Vic might not be possible by October.

Give an inch....take a mile and yet (even then) will still complain

im sure there will be another rally/protest in two months time when the second wave comes as to why 'stuff hasn't opened yet'.

Obviously the lives of the protesters do not matter.

If someone dies because of these actions, Man Slaughter should be the charge. And at a minimum the person who signed off on the rally should be removed.
