Managed to lose a ball just off the fairway on 10, but saved bogey with nice 6 iron and putt.
Nice going to shoot only +1 from the sixth hole onwards.

Groundhog Day! Went out rusty on the first 9 for 4 bogies, drove it like a spud but my irons and short game were ok. The birdie putts inside 12-15ft never looked like going in.

Made the turn and made a 30 odd footer for birdie on 3, bogied 5, missed birdie’s on 6-7-8, then as has been the case for what seems like months i made a careless bogey on 9.

    77 (41/36) for 35 pts.

28 points this morning. Ball striking was average at best and I hit 4 fairways all day. My chipping was enough to keep me going but not enough to get up and down. I simply wasn't close enough to the hole often enough.

Got derailed by my questionable fashion choices today, button down Lowes flamingo Hawaiian shirt. Absolutely no give in it, like swinging in a suit and tie.

Beautiful day so can’t really complain.

    28pts- 1 birdie.

1 down today, another round that got away from me really.

4 out of the last 5 rounds have been at or near my hcp.

Hitting the ball ok, was just a little unlucky on greens today. In better news, today was the first round in 5 months, including the Vic champs, which was awful, where I did not top a drive. It was amazing

back seized up during the weekend. Start off the round ok, but by 6-7th hole, it would start to lock up and my swing just goes everywhere. Can't even hit my short irons.
Might have to take a break from golf this week to let my back recover. I blame my missus for making me play squash 2 nights in a row last week.

scored 24 and 21 points during the weekend

A quite pleasing 34 points for me today. Some of the pins were in impossible spots I'd never seen before, and I had a few putts I'd never had before. When I left the field scores were reflecting that. I'm a chance for a ball!

After a terrible start my play and most importantly my putting was quite good.

The most remarkable thing about the round was one of my playing partners, who was an old guy I'd never seen before. I found out that he was a relatively new member on the first tee, and immediately saw from his swing that he was a good player. During the round it emerged that he was in his early 80's, but really fit for his age, and off 8. He told us that he'd lost count of the number of times he's shot his age because he'd been doing it regularly for the last 10 years. There's hope for us all yet.

Stableford today in cold conditions. The ball wasn't travelling to far today, the grass is getting thin and the mud a bit thicker.Took a bit to get going, about 6 holes, then I settled into a groove

-2 in a par comp today. Burned the edges all day, but played the back 9 in 1 over, so that's something. Still plagued by slow starts it seems.

I chopped it around the first (back) nine in only 13pts, reset at the turn and had 21pts (-1) around the front to finish with 34pts.

    Good bounce-back, Courty.

    Default WDYSTM - June 2020

A bit of an average day out, could’ve been worse and could’ve been much better.

    8/14 FIR
    7 GIR
    3/6 Sand saves
    32 putts
    6
    2
    1

    33pts

To cap it off I pulled my approach into the left trap on the last to completely short side myself and all but guarantee another closing bogey. Lost the burger and beer bet again.

85/82 yesterday monthly medal, the worst I have struck my irons in awhile. Just kept missing in the worst places and was left trying to make up and downs only Tiger could make.

Rubbish round today at Helensvale in damp conditions. Hit some nice drives and approaches but not enough of them, and too many instances of fat shots and wedges digging into the ground on chips. The greens were fantastic though, enjoyed putting on them even though I ended up with 36 putts. 111 overall (+41), 79 nett. I guess playing courses I've never played doesn't really help, I usually score better on ones I've played before. Had fun for the most part at least
