Name sounds familiar. Maybe you have talked about him before, but when heard the name I instantly thought curly hair.

It's been long time, I may have got my names starting with M mixed up.
If the guy is around 50yrs old that would be the same one.
If hes a complete knob it's definitely the same one.

The age group is probably right and I may have heard his name mentioned by some NHGC members who've come from the pat or play both.

Next time I see one of these guys, I'll ask them.

Any comps would be run by Westwood Ho so not sure.
If there is I'll be in for it to help go out even further

Just had a look at the Westwood Ho Golf Club site.
It's out of date with no info for 2020 but it looks like they had comps every Monday in 2019 so it may still be the same.
Not related to our game but looked at their annual fees, oh dear.
$600 joining Fee which can be paid over 3 years. $200 discount if paid in one lump up front.
$60 nomination/application Fee, deducted from joining Fee if accepted.
$495 Playing Membership Fee then Green Fees on top for games played.
The Green Fee can be avoided by with the Full Playing Rights Fee of $1164 (this is only Mon-Sat)

So all up for a Full Playing Rights Membership in the first year you could pay:
    $340 ($600-$200-$60)
    $1164
    Total $1504

We can discuss if we think its vale for money after the game

That's about the same as North Adelaide. If The Pat was as close to me as North Adelaide, I'd consider swapping, I think it's a nice course. Different, but some good holes. Probably not quite as good condition as NA, but not much difference. Lots of pitch marks on the greens last time I was there, which is always the case for public courses. The par 3's play better from the back tees, they're all very similar lengths from the whites.

I've been to North Adelaide and the Pat one time each in the last year. Pat was waaaaaaay better

When a group of us at work have ventured over to The Pat for a hit, it has in general been in good condition, nice lush fairways but some of the greens have been a bit scrubby.

How many spare spots do we have? Still 2? I may have some extras interested.
