    Default Hybrid action

    Hi Gents,

Just wondering what opinions are on a good, value for money hybrid these days? Last one I owned was the 915H; been on a driving iron trip ever since, but might give a 19* hybrid another look.
    Cheers,
    Juzzy.

I’ve tried a bunch, stuck with Ping i25’s, never looked back!

trying a few at the moment... Mizzy CLK, Epic, M4 and a RBZ; trying to figure out which one should I use; so far I see the M4 being easy to go high, CLK is the middle ground. RBZ is lower for me, while struggling with the Epic. I get about 180-190 depending on how high the ball flies.

I'm in the same camp and I just picked up an Exotics CBX hybrid for a very reasonable amount. It sits open and flat so I'm hoping it isn't a hook machine like most hybrids I've tried.

First one that comes to mind is the 816/818H2...much more pleasant looking to the eye than the 915s, and the lower spin one compared to the H1.

I'm thinking of going back to a 19° hybrid with a heavier shaft when it's a bit too windy for my 5 wood...so am keen to see what else comes up as a suggestion.

Bridgestone J33 18 degree or even 21. Don’t worry too much about fitting lofts to your set, the 21 will pop a ball out of a bad lie better than the 18/19 will.

Took the M4 out today. Was pretty easy to hit the high ball. Pretty straight too with no hookies

Historically you were always safe with an Adams Hybrid, sadly their product development got muzzled and dumbed down by new master TM.

Of the recent models I have tried, the PXG 0371 stands out, but you have to be patient to pick one up at a reasonable price. The advantage of being a Lefty!

The 816 H1 and H2 are Ok, but I still prefer my prior models i.e. 910/913/915. TM M6 OK but ditto, prefer the SLDR models, and the AeroBurners also stood out. The Epics are above average, but my favorite non Adams Hybrid of all time are the Callaway BB Alpha 815s. And their XR Pros are close behind. The Ping G400 is pretty solid, as are most Ping Hybrids, if you don't have an issue with the lefts. A bit left field, but if you can pick up one of the original Nickents 3DXs, they are pretty special. I have a Cobra F8 that is pretty easy to hit, and looks good. And most of the old Cleveland and recent Srixon stuff is pretty solid.

Thanks all for the input. Much appreciated. I had a few things I wanted to offload,so went to my favourite golf retailer (Narellan Golf Factory) this morning and picked up a new Ping G 19° hybrid. Looks good, keen to get it on the course. That Callaway Apex does look very neat, but they only had it in 16° and 24°.
