Forgot to report in here for the weekend.

34pts on Saturday (3.5hr round) - pretty 'meh' all round.
    41pts on Sunday (2.5hr round) - 1 x chip-in eagle & 3 birdies for 1 over 73 off 6. Good enough for the comp win & a hungy credit.

That would have to be a record of the the quickest time to post the winning round possibly in Australia. You are special Michael!

30 points with 5 wipes, 35 putts with 4 3-putts pretty much sums up the morning. It was all magic or tragic.

22points, was stiffed on the last, hit a wrong ball, should have had 23. (My partner had 20)

Wasnt that long ago was knocking out 20/22 points for 9 like it was a walk in the park.

25 points on saturday. Can't hit anything for crap and missing close putts

37 points on Sunday because consistency.... and also missed close putts. Go figures.

And both days I lost a brand new ball because of a damn crow kept coming in on the 11th hole.

    Default WDYSTM - April 2020

My Covid golf got off to a bad start with b2b 25 pts out at Gordonvale over Easter. They were 2:45 rounds though.

Since then I’ve been hitting the ball pretty good. Finally tuned my ST200G and all but eliminated the wipey fade I was hitting, the thing is a bit of a weapon. My long putting has been very poor, anything outside 7ft has been very hot and cold. Inside that (coincidentally the length of the PuttOut mat) has been pretty good.

    Last week:

    Saturday - 35pts (77) in 3:28
    Sunday- 32pts (81) in 2:28

    This week:

    Saturday - 34pts (79) in 2:45
    Sunday - 36pts (77) 2:09

Played Friday arvo. Change everything in my bag. It wasn't the day for it

Too many work calls lead to an 18 point disaster.

Single par today, with a massive storm and strong winds rolling in as we teed off. I had some luck early with some fortunate tree strikes and carries, but my putter sucked.

3 jagged 2 from a million miles away.
    3 jagged 5 missing a 2 footer.
    3 jagged 7 missing a 3 footer.

Turned in minus 2, but then parted the next 7 straight to be one up on 17.

It played 135 into the wind. A full 7 iron fell 20m short in the front pot. 50 footer ended up a roll short for par.

Then stupidly 3 jagged 18 from 15 foot

    Square.

Down to 6.2 which is a shot off my lowest ever.

after some self reflection, i think it was a combo of
    - not enough sleep, late night, early rise for dawn service.
    - general lack of motivation, golf overall is not as enjoyable, saturday comp is almost like playing alone.
    - faster pace of play and lack of fitness, as I walk and there is far less time to rest between shots after walk - particular from drive to approach shot. Its not easy to swing a 5 iron when I am gassing it.

these are all little things but it adds up. I would think lack of enough sleep was probably the deal breaker.

Played 83 off the stick today again for 37 points. Plenty of lip out today. After the last 2 days of missing short putts meant that I don't putt aggressively to the hole. Sort of just dribble in.

Glade to not loose a ball today to the crows after looking 2 balls during the weekend

I've been feeling a bit extra tired after play, and you may have pinpointed the reason, Blakey. We don't any any chance to rest in two-balls, so that is probably it.

Fatigue didn't affect my play today, though. I played pretty well for 35 points, with some terrific chipping and bunker play, but terrible putting. It is at least 4 games since I've holed a putt over 5 feet. I just can't get the speed right on our slow greens.

A slight bonus today was that it started raining while we were putting our cards in, so we avoided getting wet by 2 minutes.

I did see that it sold recently. Hopefully it survives once the lease ends. Both my cousin and uncle are members.

    Someone bought it
Surely they wont be running it as a Golf Course?
They could make a small fortune out of the place as a Golf Course providing they started with a large fortune.

Going to be a real watch this space this one.

Yep - there's still a 5 year lease to the golf club but there will be some pretty strong financial pressure on after that..

Be interested if Ed Peters bought it. He likes buying things throughout the hills to keep his wife busy.

Seems like the sun can shine on this dogs ar>e. 41pts yesterday for 2nd spot. Old codger won with 43 pts, all the other old codgers didn't submit their scores to save comp fee. They take it in turns to post the winning score.

    But 36 putts ( 3 - 3 putts )
3 putt on the last left me a bit shitty.
First time I have played 9 holes in par.

I would be at least getting warm, if not actually on fire, if I didn't have a stone cold putter.

33 points for me today, with two 3putts and another six between 4 and 10 feet that all missed. Maybe next month will be different.

28/04/2020, Jindalee GC, Social 9 Holes.

I finally saw some consistency with the driver, which put me in good position several times. What a shame that I can't hit an approach shot or read a putt anymore.

    Stats: 3/6 fairways, 2/9 greens, 15 putts.

    Score: BBBBPXPBP; +7
