Just had a quick look. Need a week in Perth to knock off another 8. A week in Sydney would kill another 7, and a blast to Mornington another 6.

Kalgoorlie, Cathedral and Ellerston pose some logistical issues.

Was a judge for the AGD list. Recently decided not to renew. Not happy with the criteria used for judging! The top 20 is reasonable with a few glaring exceptions. Port Fairy is way better than 57 and Ellerston shouldn’t be considered imho.

Did you ever make it to Ellerston Pete?

Couldn't agree more with Port Fairy.

Surely ~51-100 is a joke? How all of the gold coast resorts make this list is beyond me, they are truly terrible when compared to down south.

No Benno, I didn’t, but I know a number who have. I don’t have a problem with the course design, but the concept of a super rich man’s plaything being ranked with the RM’s, Barny Twins, KH’s of Australia doesn’t sit well with me. I think above the top 15 or 20, courses should be grouped in lots of 20. Ie 20 to 40, 41 to 60 etc with no individual rankings! The lower rankings tend to depend on the whims of the ranking staff and how good a day they had!

Blakey, it is somewhat of a crime that very few decent courses exist north of Newcastle. Given the money that used to be present on the goldy, the courses there are very poor.

Obviously not but conditioning and the way they’ve cleared out certain areas etc has made it a much more enjoyable course to play.

I have played 0 of the list in SA, 2 in Queensland, and surprisingly only 2 in NSW!

Have they removed the stupid blind tee shots and have less 200m par 3's?

Design Variety are fittingly a standout for such a cerebral layout.

    What does that mean?

I've only played 4 - Royal Adelaide, Mount Compass, Brookwater and Royal Pines. If I ever move back to QLD (and I will at some point, the sooner the better my wife would say), I'll be joining Brookwater, love that course.

    Surprisingly 33 out of 100.

Although many of those would have been with Spalding clubs and Pinnacle balls.

You're credited in this list. I blame you.

Same. It's travesty that Nash Old rated 40 places above.
