    Default Driving mat Brisbane

Hi looking for one like they have at the driving ranges. A local lad will jump the fence at Golf Central and grab one for a carton but looking at other options.
    Thanks

Fez, I am probably going to grab one of these babies. Global Golf seems to be the only distributor with a website, and they are not that expensive. As best I can tell anyone else sellng mats are retailers so are costing a lot more.

I just cant decide which one to get - i might even get 2 x Mediums

You will have to partially complete checkout to see the shipping cost.

For 30x90cm mat shipping is $13

I'm going to use it on my boat and hit to a sandbank or the 5th RQ when it closes.

I have one of these - http://globalgolfproducts.spiffystor...del-large-size - it's great, but if you use regular tees they go flying everywhere at high speed, I'm going to try to anchor them somehow.

shoe lace (tied at the end of the taper) with a counter weight attached to the other end

Used to watch some old giza with this setup at Gawler Golf Club (back in the day). Was very precious about his tees and balls.

I've been researching nets for over a week now and can't settle on one. The cheap eBay ones 'look' like they'd do the job, but would be keen to know if anyone has used one???

Like the look of this one (with good reviews) but not in stock for a few months... https://www.networldsports.com.au/po...iABEgLotfD_BwE

I had a problem with the net when I took it down and went to put it back up again.
When I put the flex on the poles the alloy sleeves at the top used to join the 2 pole bent and snapped in the blink of an eye. After much anger and trying splinting them I found shaft extenders were a perfect fit to slide over the top of the existing broken sleeves.

I put the shade cloth up as I drilled a 6 iron straight through the material target that came with the net.
Net and mat came as a package for $120 I think.

how much clearence do you need behind the net? I can imagine the ball hitting the back wall and smack me in the face

Bugger all clearance required. The shade cloth takes the impact well.

What about the shanks? you might want to move that net closer.

Photo makes the net look a fair bit smaller and further away than what it really is.

I first had one my old club was throwing out when they upgraded but they are shite, since upgraded to the True Strike which are brilliant....
Also the cheap nets do the job but the nylon sheet where you hit into can be dangerous so I hang a heavy doubled over old bed sheet up, and have carpet on the floor to deaden the blow of balls dropping as the run away fast on the concrete floor!

I have been checking out mats and nets online for some time now. Its quote noticeble now that sellers are low or have no stock now, I wonder why.

All jokes aside about the shanks, i just want to hit Birdie Balls instead. Eliminates the danger problem and balls bouncing around.

Also spotted this today..... who needs a net when a chair and towel will do? Haha obviously also a plastic ball.

A lot of these golf nets are appearing as sponsored ads in my social media feeds now. It must be because of this thread and the links off it.
