    Default Edit button does not currently seem to be working?

    As per Title. I have tried different Browsers and it made no difference. Ditto signing out and back in again.

    More details please, Daves, and maybe even screenshots. Feel free to email admin@ozgolf.net, if that is easier for screenshots.

    If I click on the "Edit Post" button for your post, it opens the Edit dialog box.

    benno_r reported an issue with signing in a little while ago, where the site was forcing him to log in every time, despite ticking "Remember Me" each time. This was resolved by redirecting any entry of the website address with http to https.

    If anyone else is experiencing these problems, please post also, so we can isolate it.

    I tried to edit a thread title the other day and it wouldn’t let me do it and wiped all the text in the post.

    Okay, so we're talking about the "Go Advanced" option, for titles.

    I have just tested it in the posts above, and the Edit / Go Advanced options appear fine for the Daves post and mine, but not yours BITS.

    Browser only here.

    But I can edit again now. Had been happening for a few days.

    Strange - I can edit this post, but not this one;

    I'm sure this is because of the server move, which resulted in some changes to versions of the back end applications. I believe that a newer version of PHP is probably having an issue with this. I'll try to consistently replicate it, then see if it can be fixed.

    On the posts I listed above, the Edit Button does take me to the Edit box, but there is no text as BIS said. If I click on Go Advanced it tells me;

    "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters."

    I was able to reproduce the problem using a different sort of apostrophe. It seems the forum was having trouble recognising some of the characters used.

    I changed the setting of the HTML character set to match what is being used on the new server. Now when I post using these characters, the forum will let me edit these posts.

    However, the previous posts that you made which had this issue will not be able to be edited, and you will see a question mark symbol there that shows these characters (Tapatalk shows nothing). If you do need to edit them, I suggest copying the text from the post, then when you get the blank area, just paste your text in.

    If you are still having this issue, let me know, and I will investigate some more.

    Daves, if you are still having login trouble, start another thread with details, and I'll have a look.

    Thanks, working as per your comments. I don't recall saying I had login issues? I did say I tried logging out an back in and it didn't fix the problem. Perhaps I confused you with my wording?
