The nail shops with 20 chicks working are open. Go figure. P.s. they are all wearing masks too, but they always do

The country doesn’t grind to a halt if a golf course is closed

Just found this on the GA website with a rundown on the situation for each state.

    https://www.golf.org.au/covid-19/

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

So which clubs aren't licenced? There wouldn't be many.

Helensvale has this update this evening (facebook)

In accordance with the new government guidelines and restrictions amidst the current global health crisis, we have taken a number of precautions and steps to ensure we are able to keep operating based on advice given to us from the relevant authorities.
We have been informed that as the golf course is still an outdoor sports/recreation venue, and given golf is a non-contact sport, we are able to remain open at this point. This will be closely monitored day by day and changes made as necessary.

It looks like Jindalee and McLeod are still open, but I haven't seen any statement from Gailes, Wolston Park, or Oxley on Facebook.

    Rockhampton Golf Club

    COURSE CLOSED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS

Golf Australia has this morning advised that:
"If a course or facility is licensed then it must completely close immediately. In the majority of cases in Queensland that will mean the closure of both clubhouse and course to members and the public.
"Staff and volunteers are still able to work at the facilities and on course.
"Golf Australia and our industry partners are currently working hard to advocate to government for the sport to continue to be played during this crisis within Queensland and will up date you with any changes."

Its licensed. Maybe because golf course and clubhouse are seperate land titles and ownership structure makes a difference. Or maybe because no drinks cart, dunno.
