I'll be going back to the ProV1 after my TP5 supply run out. For me (and it's all personal preference) the ProV1 has a far greater durability to it. Performance wise, it's hard to notice a big difference, but the ProV1 being slightly firmer feels like I can control it more. Now I'm probably in a minority as my swing speed is quite high compared to most amateurs, so being able to put spin on the ball around the green is ideal and why I love using them. Being able to get a ball to stop from 25-30 out when playing a low flighted pitch is comforting.

The Bridgestone Tour B XS ball will do this just as well as the Pro V (IMO actually slightly better), for about $20-$30 cheaper per dozen (Edit: last years model, but who cares!)

They spin a bit too much for me

Yeah no doubt there's other balls out there that do it, I've tried some, but I guess when you find what you like you tend to stick to it. I just felt the best golf I've played, has been with the ProV1.

The Bridgestone extra soft at $21/doz is an even better choice for most club golfers (I like the yellow ones I've been using).

Yeah I use them in really soggy winter conditions, I got the older model and agree they are better than the new one
