Not at all, I’d say some of our fees just went to a lawyer as to what THEIR safest position should be.
Like every disaster or hardship good things will come out of it. We have seen a couple already, its shut up the climate and men in dresses activists.
We are playing this Saturday apparently still in groups of 4 , seems a little strange
Back to golf: if your club is playing comps in twos, what has been the effect?
We start up again tomorrow (assuming we are ignoring Golf Australia), and the sheet isn't just full, its full until 4.00pm. Presumably those after about 2.00pm are playing a social 9 holes. But its full. So is Saturday and a new comp for Sunday.
I'm not playing, so I won't go to the course and ask, but I can only assume its a combination of being desperate to get out of the house and the fact that many aren't working, so they have plenty of time.
Frankly, I'm astonished. I thought two's might be a fizzer, but clearly I'm wrong.
"There are 50 things to remember in the golf swing. Trouble is that I can only remember 49 of them" - Bob Hope.
If it takes more than 3 hours to play in 2’s that’ll be the next conspiracy theory, we’re doing it to weed out the slow cents.
Golf banned in Victoria...
Sounded like a new move to me?Victoria’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton has announced that fishing, hunting, boating, camping, and golf will not be allowed during the pandemic. “Hang up your rods, leave the tinnie in the driveway, and clean your clubs at home,” Professor Sutton said on Thursday.
I have never seen so many people over 65 playing golf at RQ as I have seen this week.
Lynwood now off limits by the RSL board, which may be a blessing.
Currently, 11 temp. greens as the lowest greens recover from 2 weeks underwater in Feb.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.

Wash your hands after touching those balls, and your grips, and don't touch your face. Or were the balls placed there for you?

There’s a range attendant with gloves, and he kindly comes and tips as many balls as you want there!
i have hand sanitiser in the car.
Might be tough - I've not shaved in about a month. I look like Encino Man. Working remotely has its advantages I guess.
But seriously at some point we should tee it up. When I was out there dropping your Mizzies off the other month I was fully geeking out, OCCM-style.

Suggested on a number of websites we cannot golf in qld, I.e RACQ, GA and a section on news dot com suggesting NSW can boat, fish and golf yet golf is not allowed in Qld , Vic.....in the CHO latest directive to take place at 11:59pm 2/4/2020, we can leave home to partake in physical activity..... someone please correct me if I’m wrong, as I’m turning up tomorrow to play
We have 150 booked each day this weekend playing in pairs from dawn onwards. We have either myself, pro shop, or directors out on the course to ensure people don’t break the rules.
If it’s patrolled properly there is no reason why golf can’t continue in a safe manner.
Forum needs more banter.
