I also won't be, I didn't play in our last comp when it was open either. I'm with Ron, the sooner everyone just stays inside and isolated the sooner things will go back to normal. Don't understand why we want to try push the envelope for a few holes of golf. Appreciate the fact that you can be isolated on course, but it's an unnecessary risk.

We had a full field last saturday, and there were no such gatherings. Clubhouse was deserted before and after golf. YMMV but i had thought our mob would have disregarded the instructions.

I'm not but I don't play golf just for the golf, I like a chat and a beer, happy to stay away until its back. Helps I'm not really missing it, if they take the horse racing away I might change.

Rocked up the weekend before, and the crowd was still around but that was right before the ban on indoor licence venues.
The the following Tuesday and Thursday (our clubs usual busy weekdays), I came in for the late afternoon practice and noted people were just buying the beers sitting in large group outside when the bar was closed.
but by 6ish, the place was a ghost town.

Would love to be able to go for a quick few holes just to stretch the back.... thats my "get out of crazy town" card I like to use to clear my head.

I bailed on today's round as I didn't want to be possibly known as the guy that refused to resuscitate Noel Whittaker during his last and fatal round at RQ.

Not sure how it is over there, but both the range and short game areas were closed at my club (and others) as it was impossible to restrict them to groups of 2.

Hillview mentioned it was restricted to 1 person on the range at a time.... so kinda pointless for them to open the ranges

I've been trying to keep my social distance for the last 35 years. Just wish everyone else would comply.
Don't you hate when you've got the last half hour of light to hit some balls and someone wants to chew your ear off until it gets dark.

Rocko is closed as well. Apparently Kwinana is opening back comps again, allowing 2 balls and bigger groups if they live together. I don’t think they’ve closed at all.

Ballina is back on, so I'll stroll through a few solo holes tomorrow to check it out. To my surprise the comps are back on, in groups of two.

My main concern at this stage is the inevitable backlash from the paranoid element. There are people on the local facebook pages who want to fine the 90 year olds for daring to venture out for their morning walks. This is despite Ballina being virus free, and likely to stay that way now the tourists have gone.

If I lived in the city where lots of people do a lot of moving about in their daily working lives, and potentially being exposed, I wouldn't be so confident.

Most of those backpackers are sharing large dorms anyway. They are a soft target. I also think the morning ocean swimmers should still be allowed up to two at a time like walkers. They're being penalised because of the sunbakers.

Was funny when Gladys was suggesting that she would close the NSW borders...…….no problem Gladys, thanks to NSW Health everyone has closed theirs to us, and rightly so.

Backpackers in Manly and Bondi don't pick fruit, if something isn't nailed down they will take that.

We deliver to those two spots that had the outbreak at Bondi Beach.
Although I’m still doing a little bit of work I told the father in law I’m not going anywhere near Bondi Junction or the Beach.
If he wants to take the punt and do them it’s his call, and mind you he’s 72 and shouldn’t even be outside the house, stupid old stubborn ****.
