Dave half the people are social but some of these would have logged into the comp and then didn't submit at the end because of their poor scores. Easy to do when playing with a chummy mate and avoids the comp fees. Cheats always find a way.
Possibly, but not in this case. I checked and they aren't paying to play, but think they are entitled to the tee times. On Thursday there were over 140 booked in the comp, but only 43 paid the comp fee. They know what they are doing and will continue to do it whilst they can get away with. It called entitled, the Pandemic of the 21st Century...

Ok forgot about over the counter comp payments so just a loophole at charged to your account clubs like RQ.
Daves, I find it extraordinary that comp times are being filled by social players at any time, let alone in these stressful times. I've never heard of it anywhere I have played, and it is easily remedied. A comp fee is compulsory at designated comp times.
We are members only during comps, and it will stay that way until life returns to normal.

GA have updated their position on courses being open.

Remedied as of today. Email announcement from the President along the lines you have suggested i.e. play in the comp time slot and you pay a fee regardless. They have also put up the no vacancy sign for Wed and Saturday comps for visitors. And made Saturday Comp 7 day only members (not quite sure why it was otherwise?).
Heard last night, clubs here are starting to move back to groups of three
Once you go yellow, you will never go back
Golf clubs took it upon themselves. Not sure if all did or just mainly metro.
I'm not a member anywhere so I cant play unless I go to a country course with an honesty box.
Guess everyone is still a little confused.
Once you go yellow, you will never go back
We never changed still playing in foursomes, mind you the only time I see the other three are at the tee and at the green ( if I putt out )
Bushy: I think from this Monday SA are starting to relax the laws a bit more than other states

I heard that 2 Sydney clubs have been hit with a $11k fine for not enforcing social distancing, by pairs combining out on the course and playing as groups of four.
Police chopper did a couple of passes over Lynwood on Sunday, but I gather their primary objective was the water ski parks along the river.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.
North Adelaide reopens tomorrow. Comps start again on the 5th. 2 to a group for social play, 3 to a group for club rounds. Woohoo!
Two guys rocked up for a game at Dunheved yesterday, wandered in from the car park to have a game.
5 minutes later were back in the car park, and I heard one of them ring his local golf pro complaining that he “couldn’t get a game anywhere, could he get them on”.
They were probably at the beach later on in the day sun baking.
I can’t believe the number of people still living in a cave.
Now I remember why I left Nudgee.
2 1/2hrs since teeing off and just completed 9 holes!!!!!!!
I’d be frustrated too. Imagine being in Victoria where you’re being constantly reminded that you’ve “been saved from becoming another New York”? F**K Off, give me a break!!
There’s so many inconsistencies across the entire spectrum of this Covid issue, NZ went into full lockdown across the board and are statistically worse off compared to Australia both medically and economically.
Last I checked there’s been a total of 58 cases detected in the entire Northern half of Qld for 0 deaths. In fact there’s only 11 active cases in that region. The fact we’re on the same level of restrictions as the Melbourne CBD is laughable.
I get it, to roll out something so large so quickly it has to be consistent and across the board, but that was over 4 weeks ago. The basic restrictions still stand as they have for months- wash your hands, stay 1.5m away, cover you mouth when coughing or sneezing, if you’re sick stay home.
It’s well and truly time for some amendments especially in less affected regional areas.
