    Default Afl 2020

After many meeting over the last few weeks the season got started last night in strange circumstances with the game played over shortened quarters and no crowd due to COVID 19.

Strange experience watching without the crowd noise. Was more like watching a competitive training session.

Big watch this space now for what happens with further games throughout the year.

If the season does get called off, the good news is that Essendon's streak of not winning a final will extend to more than 6200 days.

The only responsible thing to do is to call of the remainder of the season if this is the case

Didn't watch it last night but will be tonight. Gonna be weird with no crowd but at least it's a bit of an escape from all this crap going on.

    Logic of an AFL team:

    1. Book and fly private plane to avoid corona
    2. Book entire floor out in hotel to avoid corona
    3. Travel to game and not shake hands
    4. Hug, sweat, grab, each other
    5. All drink out of shared bottles.
    6. End match and congratulate each other.
    7. Hug each other while singing team song.
    8. Go home and spend time with your loved ones.
Once you go yellow, you will never go back

    9. Suspend rest of season until end of May after being hell bent on playing first game.

The AFLW got hung out to dry.
Why couldn't they play their finals later?

Gillon didnt say ( or at least the Telly didnt quote him) but I agree, they could have just deferred. Cancelling the AFL wasnt their choice though, given half the country has banned interstate travel.

A lot of the women are part time footballers, so it would have been logistically harder.

Plus, the AFL cares less about their competition.

They’re losing enough money, they don’t need to be throwing more away

And being an AFL player, he will be treated like a five year old and given a stern warning. Then offered counselling while the bulldogs picks up the damage bill.

I am totally over this clown. He's an addict and that is very sad, drugs can and often do ruin lives, but this turkey has had more chances than most to rehabilitate and he keeps turning back to them.

He is not news any more

Footy is still on for me. I watch a different Hawthorn premiership win every weekend. Plenty of time before I run out.
