Fake Golf Clubs
Hey guys, I’ve been dumb enough to be stooged with fake golf clubs. Rather than toss them, I thought I’d see if anyone knew of anywhere I could donate for some sort of use. At the end of the day, I know they’re not going to perform like a proper set but could help someone get into the sport somewhere?
Are they going to be that bad that I should just toss them?

Impulse bought them off eBay ages ago (as we do)and never actually got around to playing them. So only recently threw them up on gumtree only to be told that they were. Upon closer inspection, which I never really did, I think the bloke might be right. So I took them down off gumtree and here we are..
Might send pics to callaway to confirm first but thought I’d post here first anyway.

The heads could actually perform fine. I'd be more concerned with the shafts that they used.

Give them a hit, I doubt the majority on here would be good enough to tell the difference.

If you want to put them to good use, I run a disabled golf charity in Queensland and we could use them for our clinics.

Here's the answer but also as JC said put some decent shaft pulls in them and they will go OK. My mate has Pings he managed to get at a significant discount in Shenzen (he's a genius), plays 4-5 times a year at corporate shambroses, they work fine.

The graphite shafts in fake irons break very easily and the metal wood heads crack also.
A mate of mine bought some fakes for his Dad as a joke and the driver head cracked after 1 hit.
Have a look at this:

This.
I had a girlfriend who got me two sets of fakes from her dad who had factories in China. He got them for his offices over there so he wasn’t lugging clubs all over the place.
I had a full 14 club set with bag of Callaway X- something with a Blue cavity and a set of Taylormade blades (about 2003-2004). Cost her about $150 each.
The shaft snapped on the driver after 3-4 years.
You could definitely tell they weren’t legit but I didn’t care at the time, I wasn’t playing much golf.

I lived in South Korea in 04-05.
My buddy bought a set of Callys from China. You did well getting that length of time out of the driver.
My buddy’s snapped on his first range session, sending the driver head 100m into the giant net.
Was quite comical watching him trying to stop an entire range from hitting, speaking English when no one understood, just so he could run/bounce out to get the club back.
It was at that point I decided I wouldn’t get myself a set.
