Default South East Weekender May 22,23,24

After many discussions after games that we should do a South East Weekender we now have our first one planned.

It can be either a 2 day trip or a 3 day trip depending on if you can get the Friday off work.

Dates are for May Friday 22nd, Saturday the 23rd and Sunday 24th.

We are looking to stay in or near to Millicent.
Everyone to arrange their own accommodation.
Get in early and check with TC as he has something arranged with limited spare rooms.

    The Courses and Format
    Day 1_Friday May 22nd
    • Drive to and play Lucindale. Aim for hit off say around 12-12:30. Can finalise this time closer to date.
    • Drive to accommodation in/near Millicent
    Day 2_Saturday May 23rd
    • Play Millicent. If some are making it a 2 day trip we will play in the afternoon otherwise we might go for a morning time. Can also finalise this closer to date.
    Day 3_Sunday May 24th
    • Drive to and play Robe most likely mid to late morning.
    • Head home after game

So the 22nd is my 10th wedding anniversary... but I have an amazing wife, so I'm a light pencil.

Treat her to a trip away to lovely Millicent, where she can sit at the local bakery and talk about the weather with the locals.....for 4 hours

Light pencil for me please lads. I should be able to confirm this weekend. If I'm in I'll take a room/bed TC.

My "boss" is away a few weekends before this, so the leave pass should still be fresh in the mind.

Stayed in Robe (really nice town) last week and drove past Kingston GC on the way to RAdelaide, looked a nice track from the road. Some prime looking golf course land down that way.

Whilst its done for this year, this looks like a good idea for a few days down that way. http://www.southernportsgolf.com/

    I see, can only hope!

On a different note I heard on the SBS News last night that flights wise all international are likely to be non-operational for the rest of the year - so guessing my August UK trip is not happening!

    TC

it is Easter, so the number of tests performed is very low.
A good result, but don't read more into it.
Lets see what is reported by Thursday.

Provided they keep the border closed I cannot see cases being greater than 50 by mid May

The key will be border protection and keeping all the dirty Victorians out

Go to Singapore or Malaysia sites and they are starting flights soon going into May. Only about 6 legs to major cities as a starter. Sydney one of them.
Tourism Minister doesn't want flights, yet he wants people to book holidays to try and keep tourism afloat.
People are not going to pay out money unless assured. F@*cking Idiot.
