Default 2023 VIC Champs - TBD

Alright, time to get serious about this shit again. I know Victoria feels like its own country these days, but if we can travel internationally by July, surely we can get in and out of Victoria in Feb 2023. Double / Triple / Quadruple / Boosted Vax will be a requirement, lets get that shit out of the way first.

So just as a discussion point on that, I'm in two minds. The full shebang as previously discussed (if the proposed clubs are amenable to it), the big one with 2 x Peninsula-Kingswood (North and South) and another premo sandbelt for the Friday like Yarra Yarra, Cranbourne GC on the Thursday or Monday and a cheap and cheerful track for the other Thursday or Monday. This'll be a costly exercise with the trip being around $1200 from whoa to go. Then peple obviously have their flights, meals, drinks, hire cars etc on top of that.

Another option is to save that for the 10th instalment as a big hoopla, and find somewhere cheaper in between, like a trip up to the Murray River (probably Echuca-Moama and the Rich River Resort). Have done a small amount of research on this and I feel like we could play 5 days on the Murray for around the $600-700 mark. That way if something goes horribly wrong and for some reason we can't get back deposits / full payments etc people haven't outlaid a metric ****tonne of cash.

Or we can look at a third option with trying to get Pen North or South for the Uncivil War Friday this year, then do the other next year, with a return to possibly the Mornington to replay StAB, The Dunes, maybe Moonah Legends, Portsea, try our hardest to get onto Sorrento, something like that.

Just a discussion point, but obviously the sooner we make our minds up the sooner people can start saving the required amounts of cash, and we can more easily make bookings.

I know some of you will say "in for whatever" (and the first one that does I'm charging them double), but please don't as it doesn't help in making a committed decision. That's MY protocol. I genuinely would like people to state what they want from those three options.

Have at it ladies and gents, and you can officially get excited again.

    ALL TBD

C’mon now, there’s another 18 points at BD just waiting for you to go out and grab them.

We are obviously in for whatever it ends up being.

I’ve voted for the rub-n-tug. I agree to leave the big one for the 10th anniversary celebration. Haven’t played the Murray courses but I’m not in a big hurry to check them out.
