    Netjets

But you could be referring to the charter aircraft the tour is putting on for players and caddies.

    What time is it on?
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Interesting rehash of the notional handicap for PGA Tour players.

I remember someone did Tiger in 2000 and he was a +12 or something ridiculous?

Interesting that they all average about +6

Hmmm, I thought someone may have been excited enough by the return of live tournament golf to comment, but apparently not.

I won't see the final round until the evening, so I'll get in early with a few thoughts.

We should be happy there are no American crowds because of how stupid they can be, but I miss them. The golf just seems a bit flat without over the top cheering. Twice in today's play I saw the most awesome bunker shots from under the back lip, from Rose and Spieth, and it just didn't seem right that nobody got excited by the shots.

I actually thought the commentators did a good job, considering only Jim Nantz and the on-course guys are actually there. If you didn't know it, you'd think Faldo and the others were at the course, not in a studio.

I'll be cheering (on the replay) for Harold. I followed him when I saw an event in 2017. He seems a really good guy.

I watched a little bit and was surprised that this thread hadn't been bumped.

I watched Adam Scott on Instagram play nine at Caloundra, and he said that he would be watching the next few tour events with interest, and was planning to return at the end of July.

Lots of missed putts in this mornings final round. Morikawa or Schauffele should probably have won but credit to Berger for hanging in there and grinding out a win.

One thing that did surprise me was how many international players were there. It seemed everyone was there except Matsuyama and Scott. Maybe the travel restrictions are easier from South Africa and Europe, but considering the alleged risk, I thought more players may have decided not to go, assuming they left the US for home at some point.. To some degree it shows what a load of BS it was that many players missed the Olympics due to an alleged virus risk in 16.

Because I'm on the PGA Tour mailing list, I've been invited to join the PGA Tour Fan Council. I haven't clicked the link yet, so I'm not totally sure what that means, but I suspect you simply get surveys and questions whenever they want to bounce ideas off the fanbase.

Is anybody already part of this?

I can't really see any downside to doing this. Could there be one?

    Justin Rose is cooked.

    Dumps Honma
    Sacks swing coach

Next step is to blame an injury for the trifecta.

    At this stage, no.

The world isn't as afraid of the virus as it was back in March, and there is more knowledge of what works and what doesn't. Mind you, they are in the USA, which seems to have been one of the least successful places in dealing with it.

It also helps that Watney appears to have been on his own most of the time, and he didn't travel on the party plane. There is no mention in the news reports of his caddy though. Surely if anyone has caught it from Nick it would be the caddy.

Everyone (including us golf fans) will be waiting for news of further tests. If there are more positives I can't see the tour going ahead.

I'm predicting that as the virus continues to surge in the US that we won't see another US Major played this year.

It’s the USA, they’re bulletproof. They’ll simply push on I reckon.

Very possible given their 'the job is done' attitude but here are the facts. The US curve has actually started to spike again. They're still reporting over 25,000 new cases per day. I know it's proportional to the large population but it's an incredible number of people. Despite all this they are reopening the country more aggressively than Australia did when we had less than a few dozen new cases per day. It can only get worse from here.

Of course things can get worse. But given legit statistics that doesn’t fit the current situation.

Your ‘facts’ that they’re seeing a spike is actually false. The US has been seeing a small linear decrease since the peak of 38k in late April, averaging about 20k a day since then.

Their ‘best’ day since the peak was 5th June at 14,548 new recorded infections.

Stats can be interpreted to tell any story you want told.

The stat that is hardest to ignore is how well the players are playing. There seems to be no rust at all. Today was one of those days that gives golf a bad name. The game is just not as easy as these guys made it look.

The scores in the Korn Ferry were even better (or worse). They needed 20 under to get on the leaderboard.
