Well now that I've finally rejoined a club and have a couple of rounds in, I'm going to try to make a late year run at Courty's score. Slow progress so far but there's always hope.

Three more rounds at Jindalee has reduced the eclectic by a couple more, with birdies on Holes 3 and 4. I've had a couple of gettable putts for par on the sixth without success. It's nice to see that I average par for the seventh hole, although it does feel more like a par 3.5 at a length of 221m.

I parred the fifth at Gailes today, which just leaves the pesky sixth at Jindalee with a bogey. It was from the white tees, but whatever, I'm disadvantaged by the lack of rounds played.

I didn't really get any good looks at birdies on the other holes in the front nine, except the first, where I already have one.

A couple of round of club champs sees me add a couple of birdies and knock off one of the pesky bogies.

Birdie on 2 at Jindalee today, sinking a good putt. I just missed the birdie putt on 9, but should get more chances at it. A shitty bounce into the trees off the fairway from a good drive ruined the chances of getting that par on the fifth today.

Today was the day I finally birdied the 3rd hole. Only took me 100 rounds...

Some progress on this in the last few rounds. Birdies on 4 and 8, and an eagle on 2. A few more rounds this year to try to birdie 17...

I've seen someone eagle #15 by taking their drive deep down #7. Might be interesting on a comp day to take that route though.
    You've got this on #17 !!!!!

Yeah I've played up 7 a few times The big gums make the 2nd shot tough, I generally try to swing one around rather than go over. Getting in the front-right bunker is usually the best outcome.

I've birdied 17 in an ambrose where all 3 shots were mine, and in practice rounds, but I can't count those.

I got a birdie on the sixth at Gailes a week and a half ago. I've managed to avoid Jindalee for the last couple of months, so that nasty bogey is still sitting there.

It was my last chance to par the fifth at Jindalee today; it was into the wind, and I struck my approach well after a good drive, but it was slightly right of the too narrow green into the trap, which I didn't save. I did birdie the ninth though, after hitting the flag on the approach.

That could be it for the eclectic, unless I squeeze in a practice hit at Gailes. Even then, only 7 of the eclectic holes are in play.

Now that I am playing more golf, I should have a better eclectic next year. I'll probably be a member of Wolston Park again too.

I've got 2 rounds left to birdie 17 and eagle 15. Does it count if it's off the red tees? We've got a red tee day on boxing day, although my course doesn't have a very big difference between the tees.

I wouldn't include social or ladies tees unless they are quite close.

North Adelaide is ~480m shorter from the reds. It doesn't really make a difference on the holes I need (15 and 17) but I'm not going to include it.

Hand Bag Derby it used to be called at Berri.
When I was at Balaklava my usual group and myself played off the Reds one day for giggles. Big difference on a number holes especially with tall trees interfering with the preferred line if you wanting to bomb it as far down as possible on holes that had some shape.

Big difference on couple of holes at Mount Compass too. Couple of the Top State Junior Girls were having to wait for us to clear the Green on Par 4's to Tee off.

I am done for the year, birdied everything. Missed a few eagle chances on 5 and 15. First year I had more birdies than rounds.

    Here's my final result:

Pretty happy with -19. The Worst Ball is a travesty, though.
