Went for a social 9 this morning.
    Gunnedah Golf Club.
Greens and tees still in good condition, fairways are non existent courtesy of the ongoing drought.
    Shot a 52.
Left a lot of shots out there, that happens after 12 months between rounds! Good to be back into it.

Played the Gold Creek Open - 6400m off the black is a long way...

Round 4 was 4 birdies, thanks to 25 putts - 3 hole outs from off the green made the day look good. 78/69
Day 2 was a struggle - chopathon early to be 6 over after 5, but fought hard to 43/43 86 nett 77, which was good enough for 3rd overall nett.

Only 2 scores under par in the field for the best players in the district gave an indication of how tough the set up was, especially considering the run in the fairways and lack of wind.

Decent day out on the course yesterday, 40 points, 74 off the stick for a +3. Putted pretty well, which includes 4 horseshoe lipouts in a "what could have been" scenario but also made a couple so swings and roundabouts.

Went out this morning and played the back 9.
Shot a 43. Three pars in a row!
Drove much better and used my head around the greens, which made a big difference.

Went out and played some holes this afternoon after work. Ended up going -2 for 12 holes without a blemish on the card. Starting to hit the ball well and hole some putts which is nice.

The most hot/humid combination I've EVER played in. Had 120mm+ over night, morning round was cancelled so shifted to the arvo shotgun.

    79 (34pts)

11/14 fairways - absolutely bombing the driver still
    8 GIR
32 putts - different putter in the bag- SEEYA!!

another flag- down to equal lowest.

27 points, could not hit a fairway to save myself. Irons were good, then putting was shite!

Lat round drove it awesome so hoping that comes back!

A mediocre 33 points for me today. A tale of missed 10 foot putts all day after a near perfect start.

I thought it was going to be a great day when I left myself a 2 footer for birdie at the first, but I wasn't so sure after I had to save bogey on the second, and I knew it wasn't going to be so good after a three putt double on 7.

I shot 59 off the stick for 18 holes in comp this morning. It is my best ever round. It will be my best ever "played to". OK, it was only a par 61 but I'm still in the 59 club

    Trouble with the windmill hole?

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

No, I got the monkey off my back in May last year. Shot 1 under but the played to was 1.0. Had even par at Lynwood almost 5 years ago for a played to 0.9 which was my best played to round until today.
