Since my last update:
Sun 24/11 - Stableford at Pennant Hills
Struggled off the tee with all clubs on the front 9. Didn't really do much until the 12th hole where I remembered how to swing. Pretty much parred home from there, except for a hitler on 14 for a wipe.
13/16 - 29
no birds
Mon 25/11 - Stableford at Elanora
Played pretty well except for 3 blowout holes - generally caused by poor hybrid shots. Can't get away with that with only 9 shots around a tough track like Elanora.
14/15 - 29
Wed 27/11 - Stableford at Maryborough
Really struggled on the reno'd greens after pureness in Sydney. Hit 8 greens on the front 9, but made 1 3 putt and 1 birdy to turn with 20pts.
Didn't hit as many greens on the back 9, but still wasted a tonne of putts. Highlight was the 2cm birdy putt on 18.
20/17 - 37

78/40pts on Saturday, 80/37 points today. Playing alright at the moment, but still wasting a few shots a round. 8 flags in my last 11 rounds.

I played out there in the 90’s, they gave you a mallet to hit the tee into the ground and a strip of astro turf to hit hour iron shots off. Great fun and many many drinks consumed!

went out for a round yesterdat; hit pretty well with my drive 7/10 FIR; most irons were hitting well except for a 2 hole slumps on the back 9;
Still struggling with my short games from <40m out; green side chips are all being replaced by putting since the last guy I played with suggested "A bad putt is still better than a bad chip" mentality
Finished the day with 35 points on 14 hdcp with a few lipped putts; combined score of 74 points from last week gave me a new pair of shoes
can putt that aside for shop credit to get some lessons

37 pts 16/21 2nd 9 was par 1 bird 1 bogey , 3 comps this week 3 different putters , finally managed to grab the right putter this morning. No time for a practice putt beforehand, sank a 30 mtr putt on first hole for par , then 3 putted everything 1 st nine , hence the 16 points .Putted better 2 nd 9 but still missed a couple shortish/ gettable putts

36 points, this is going to take a bit to explain.
20 on the front , 1 birdie
Started the back nine with 2 doubles and wipes. 3 putt bogey on 12. Birdies on 13,14,15, doubled 16, lipped birdie on 17 and birdied 18.
On 10, 470m par 5, I smashed driver and had 7 iron in, plugged it in the bunker and took 5 to get down.
11 I had 100m into a 360m par 4 and plugged it into the left trap and had no shot at it so had to hit it backwards.
Oh what could have been.

Finally got a decent game to report.
Played Pennant Hills last Sunday went out in 6 over and then bogeyed 10. 3 under coming home for a 39 points.
Played Elanora on Monday.
What an awesome place.
Really struggled with the driver off the tee and then reading the greens when I finally got there. Scored well enough cos I hit lots of hybrids and 4 irons off the tee.
29 points.
Played Cabra today.
What a crazy game golf is.
3 shanks and a 3 putt in my first 7 holes. Managed to par 18 (index 4) to turn only 9 over with a birdie on 15 (12 points)
Parred the the 3 hardest holes on the front nine and birdied 6. Got up and down in the last 3 holes to shoot even par on the front (21 points).
Finished 33.

40pts yesterday (21/19) for my best score in some time. Didn't hit the ball that great but got it around without getting into any real trouble. Ended up losing 3rd place in a countback.
