Well done BITS. Are you going to the Vic Champs? #newgrossfav

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Can’t be gross fav with mrbluu on the forum. I’ll be working that weekend too, as I now do 7/7 roster.

40 pts at Warragul today off 7 ,bogeyed the first then 12 pars birdied 14 to be all square, par 15 but then bogeyed the last 3 . Only two one pointers first and last , no 3 putts , no missed short putts not too bad overall, flag dropping off so may not harm the cap , 45 pts was leading when I left

36/37/39 is a top weekend. How much does that cut the cap by mate?

    Single Stab at Maryborough

1st round I have played on the reno'd greens, still pretty ordinary. For the most part hit it well, just struggled on the greens.

Birdies on 16 and 17 saved the round. 1 snap hooked hybrid ob on 6 killed it. And the 3x 3 putts on awful greens.

    16/20 36 (off
    2 birds
    1 wipe
    3x 3jack
    34 putts
    10gir

Another flag and another new low on it's way. Booyah!

A very ordinary 32 points today for me. The story of the round was 18 two-putt greens. This would be good if I had hit 15 GIR, but not when I missed 7 putts under 6 feet, including the last 3 in a row.

Our greens get done next Monday. I am prepared to endure a few weeks of pain if it means putts don't wobble all over the place when they lose speed.

had a day off today so went for a round.

pretty different to the weekend game, and was able to hit my Driver and iron shots pretty well.... played mostly conservative golf, but putting saved the day with a few long putts sinking in. 21 points off the back 9, while I blew 3 holes on the front, but managed to get 17 points. 38 points off 15hdcp

Royal North Haven A Grade Matchplay Final - won 2-0.

Did not get up until the 11th then got 2 up and then went back to square after the par 5 15th.

Both hit the green with our approach shots on the part 4 16th. His ball rolled four feet short of the hole. Mine rolled 20 feet past.

I stood over the ball thinking, "this has to go in".. it did and he missed. 1 up with 2 to play.

We're standing at the tee block for the 200m par 3 17th. There's a stiff headwind. The raised green is guarded by two deep bunkers. There is a bail to the left. But I go for the green and stick it to within four feet.

(tee block is to the left of the Norfolk Pine in the distance.)

He hits his 40 feet right, into ankle high, dry tufty stubble but his chip rolls within inches of the hole.
    I miss my putt.

    Dormie.

I parred the last easily whilst he struggled in the rough for the win.

After 12 months of shit golf and being stuck on anchor for the last 3, I finally found something that resembled a golf game on Saturday. 78/65. 1xBird, 1xBogey, 2xTriples and 14Pars. The front nine was also equal to my best nine. -1.
