    Default G'Day From Sunny Lithgow

    Hi All,
My names Jim,I'm 58 and Im trying to get myself back into golf after a LONG time away from the game. My clubs that I have I bought second hand early 90s LOL. Ill be looking at a possible upgrade if and when I show signs of improving. Hope to see you out on the course

There's nothing wrong with old clubs, Jim. Welcome to the forum.

    Welcome Jim, enjoy the comeback.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Thank you for welcomes. I have bitten the bullet and decided to get a handicap. I know it may be controversial, but I decided to go down the Social Golf Australia route. $95 outlay to get a Golflink Number. If after 12 months I i am still enjoying it, I will then pay the full membership for my local club. Just not sure I can justify that outlay and decide its not for me.

It's not controversial at all. I had one for the last couple of years, and still have something similar.
