Naturally, Darren Clarke is the early leader.
Darren Clarke? From the little footage I have seen, it looked like Santa was out in front ...

Course looks superb, Disappointing effort from Adam Scott who decided not to play a single event after the US Open because he didn't get what he wanted (that was the way the press conference went anyway). Needs to play his way back into form rather than piss farting around in Switzerland with the family.

May I be the first to say "Anyone But JB".

He is a guy who has a history of not putting 4 good rounds together, so he may fade away anyway, but I'll never forgive him for the 4 minute delay at Torrey Pines, and then being unrepentant. I'm also hoping the winner isn't wearing the Nike inkblot shirt, or the Erik Van Rooyen yoga pants. Maybe JB will wear both just to irritate me further.

I also note there are a few other guys in contention who may fit the Anyone But List for other Ozgolfers. I doubt if Cam Smith would be one of them though. Dare we dream of him being the Aussie winner we didn't expect?

So far, this is shaping up to be one of the great tournaments, on what is surely one of the most suitable courses we've ever seen for hosting a major. Fantastic course.

I have only seen the scorecard but what happened to J Day? He dropped 6 shots in the last 6 holes to miss the cut by 1. Is Cam Smith the only Aussie left above the cut line? It's great to see him in contention at a major.

Nice 6 under 2nd round by Steelman to make the cut, got in when Daly withdrew.

Anyone but JB and the 25yo and probably Cantlay unless he’s stopped the 15 wiggles before he pulls the trigger

The last time Australia had just one player make the halfway cut was 60 years ago when five-time champion Peter Thomson was the only Aussie to tee it up at Muirfield in 1959.
