    Default The Open - 2019

    Let the banter begin.

I am really looking forward to this one. Should be a good addition to the regular rota.

Favourite tournament of the year - hope Scott or Day can do well, but failing that, an Irish winner would be good.

Unless this is the greatest week in the history of golf they may never go back there.

    What does Beef use?

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

He was using a TS3, not 100% sure what he is using this week though.

Looks like Darren Clarke gets to hit the first tee shot. Fingers crossed he finds the fairway

    Don't think so.
But channel 9 (?) usually show a highlights package about a week after it's over.

For those not watching at home (yet), early conditions are benign, but already the breeze seems to be picking up a bit.

The course is very green and the greens are receptive, so good scores are likely. It all looks very good on TV.

Naturally, Darren Clarke is the early leader.
"There are 50 things to remember in the golf swing. Trouble is that I can only remember 49 of them" - Bob Hope.
