Yep. Haven't played Nairne in a while. I had a look recently and it's looking green.

I drove past Oakbank GC last week, same thing, looked like it was in good condition. Fingers crossed it's the same in August

    OP and title updated.

Oakbank Nairne double - 9 holes at each Sunday 25th August starting at Oakbank 8am.

Had a bit of a chuckle at reply from Oakbank checking availability.

The course is free at that time, so there should not be a problem with availability.BUT, we do ask that you not hit off if there is frost/ice on the Greens or Fairways. It does significant damage.

Tried to do a recon round at Nairne yesterday afternoon in 7 deg and hail. The layout is a bit confusing so I thought at least one of us should have half an idea before we all show up. Had enough by the time I got back up the hill after three holes.

Both to be frank. I don't think winter is the time to play this course. It's hilly and the walk down the 1st/10th is quite steep in places (plus, slippery when wet) and there will be a lot of ball searching in the ankle deep rough everywhere. That said, I'm not against giving it a crack for this event.

Nairne certainly isn't open in summer.
