Default Wet weather / winter Jacket

So I went into Drummond aiming to buy a light winter/wet weather jacket that still gives you some decent flexibility when playing only to be greeted by astronomical prices of $499 for a Footjoy jacket. Sorry to disappoint Drummond but I'm not shelling out driver money for a jacket.

Any recommendations for a jacket under $100 that you like to play in?

Your not going to get anything truly waterproof for $100.....
    Sunice is great, check eBay.

You'd be better off going into an outdoor store for something better quality and price than fj stuff

You clearly went into the wrong Drummond store.

By a remarkable coincidence I am looking for exactly the same thing, and my Drummonds had Sportscraft varieties for 149, which with a Drummond card and 20% discount almost gets to the right price. They looked and felt quite good, but I didn't try it on and swing a club, so there are no guarantees at this stage.

I didn't buy, but if I can't find better before the end of the financial year while the sales are still on, I might buy in another week or so.

Just found a Ping Delta Jacket on Golfbox and with discount was too good to pass up. Water resistant, wind proof and stretch properties etc. Should do the trick. Thanks for the comments! Will definitely keep these in mind if I want to go full waterproof in the future.

The ProEquip jackets that Ray has for sale are good value. Quality without the pricetag.

There's always the $800 Galvin Green option...

I picked up an Under Armour short sleeve water resistant thing thats pretty good for warm weather rain, was on Ebay for about $70 - i reckon I got lucky.
I think you wont find much in that price range that will be comfortable for golf. You just got to keep your eye out for specials on ebay, llike this

Rivers has an allegedly waterproof jacket that looked and felt like the real thing for $99. Has anyone tried one?

Like everything else from Rivers it may fall apart within a year if used regularly, but for the number of times I'm likely to actually wear it, it may be suitable for me.

Get out of the golf world and into the marine world. Plenty of breathable marine 'spray jackets' for sub-$100. Mine doubles for boat and golf duties.

I looked a few different options before buying a Greg Norman waterproof jacket from Drummond Enfield (paid around $150). Most of the "general purpose" stuff at regular sports shops were either not fully waterproof, or had no stretch, which I think's important for anything you want to swing a golf club while wearing. I was happy to pay a bit extra for something I could try on rather than buying online (and wow some of the stuff Drummond stock is stupid expensive).

Depending on what sort of weather you plan on playing in, you might not need something fully waterproof, which should open up more cheaper options.

edit: this is the one I bought - https://gregnormancollection.com/wea...t-rain-jacket/

Uniqlo blocktech parka, 49-99 if you don’t mind the hoodie.

And if you really care about style, j linderburg or cross is pretty cheap on this site https://www.thegolfsociety.com.au/co...golf-outerwear, but size are generally towards the large side.
