Default The latest take on Rangefinders

Was having a look at some of the latest and greatest in Rangefinders. My lord they are spendy, and full of "useless" features to justify this pricing.

On the flipside, the basic range finders seem to be really basic - not the best optics or flag locking.

Any recommendations for rock solid optics and locking at sensible pricing? My Bushnell z6 has had a hard life, and is struggling to flag lock these days.

Bushnel Tour V3 approaching 5 years.

Still going strong and looking good (no cover, but on course, it sits alone in buggy handle compartment, without any tees, balls, car keys, etc. to scratch it).

The z6 was an upgrade to v3 that was also retired due to hard life.

My 5 year old Bushnel Tour V3 doesn't like rainy day anymore. The screen will stop working a few days if I use it in the rain.

Bought a Sureshot was about half the price of the new Bushnel and it seem to pick up the target a little bit faster than the V3.

I just upgraded my old V3 to a closeout Z6 ($397 delivered from Golfbox). I'm good for a few more years now.

While working my z6 was great, and is still pretty good.

I guess the question is are the cheaper ones going to satisfy me, considering I'll probably wreck it in 2-3yrs.
