    Default Roberts Hydraulic shaft puller

Recently upgraded, so old trusty is up for sale.

Bought this from the US, and has been great for all my shaft pulling needs.

Includes the rubber clamp block, and the aluminium pulling protector for woods and irons.

Not sure how to price this, as replacement cost is high.

Was thinking $115pp. Can deliver between hervey bay and brisbane in the next couple of weeks. Failing that, hit me up with a sensible offer.

It has been good Chappy, but wanted something with a better clamping mechanism, and wanted a shorter pulling arm, so I designed and fabbed my own...

If anyone is will to pay the $300+ for materials and time, sure. The clamp alone is $100au plus shipping from US.

Making these can certainly be a bit of a love job, but I enjoyed it

Yeah, I wouldn't be making a tonne of cash. Just material alone for this one was pretty much $200 including jack, clamp, steel, ali, bolts, and paint.

    Benno,

Any issues using a bottle jack horizontally, or is that jack designed to be used in any position?

None so far on the new or old puller. There is no specific recommendation on the jack or the manual not to use horizontal. My old puller was horizontal for 5yrs. Bled it after 2, but didnt really need it.

If you keep the air out it should be fine. My understanding was that as long as the pump is below the cylinder, shouldn't have any dramas.

I was going to ask if you fabbed up that clamp or bought it as a unit.

Great job either way mate - looks sensational.

Those clamps are great. I bought a couple when the dollar was at parity and Golfworks had them on special. Near double the price in AUD now, unfortunately. I also have a Roberts Puller which has me thinking........
