Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Jeez.... Soles of my feet are all cracked and split from wearing thongs, podiatrist said cotton socks and high percentage urea (25%+ preferably 30%+) in heel balms/moisturisers is about all I can do. And pumice the life out of the calloused or dead skin spots.

In the past I have played 18 holes in thongs... Feet were stuffed, didn't learn quickly because I've done it a couple of times since.

Just sandshoes these days. Once I lift my game I'll lash out and pick up some proper shoes.

How do the sandshoes fare on the scrapes? Not so well if they are white

Not much chance of blisters in these things, but they do seem a little firm underfoot after a couple of wears. I hope they soften up after time.

Most comfortable ecco biom. Been using there running shoes for over 10 years, then they came out with golf ones. Exxy ,but worth it. Your posture derives from what is connected to the ground (feet).

Grabbed a pair of Adidas 360 bounce II or whatever they're called today. Comfortable and lightweight walking around the store. First round on Friday in expected rain which will be a good test of the waterproof leather.

Roshe runners are on the cheap side. Heaps of lateral movement. Not sure if golf ones are better

Played in them today, definitely comfortable, good stability when swinging, and no wet feet in the rain and general dampness around the course. Good buy.

Anyone rocking the latest 'True Links' ?

I never tried the originals but the latest reviews are still top notch.

depends on which model you are asking about.

the new models not in stock yet have a 'pre-order' button instead of Shop Now

I wear the Originals, and I pre-orded OG Feel, which is the same shoe
i recently bought the TL01 and sent back as they were not wide enough for me. I never thought I have wide feet, but the owner said to me based on our discussions that I should just stick with Originals or OGs

Purchased in May last year, and now the bottom is peeling away. About 16 months old, and 70 rounds or so, which doesn't seem long enough lasting to me, considering how long other shoes have lasted.

I've got a pair of Ecco Hybrids, but I don't want to wear them to golf, because I wear them to work nearly every day. I guess I'll be looking at Ecco's for the next golf shoes though.
