I’ve been a Footjoy customer for years but I have to admit that the NB shoes are very comfortable. Just need to see how long they last to be fully sold on them.

Anybody wearing the Adidas Tour 360 XT?
Any feedback, and sizing compared to Footjoy?
Thanks.

I have pretty much used Footjoy for years but last couple pairs have been shite. One fell apart after 6 months. My last pair cost me $200 om special and I just hate them.
I now have a pair of True Linkswear Originals, and I am a convert. Big fan of the wide fit and they are everything they say they are.
Plus i never thought i could get away with not wearing spikes, but I havent noticed the difference.

Criticism doesn't bother me, as it means I am doing something and people are watching.

I've been wearing low cut hiking shoes for a while and won't go back to golf shoes again.
Waterproof, available in wide fit, not expensive and supremely comfortable.
Current brand is Keen and wish I'd bought two pairs.

How is the waterproofing with hiking shoes. I find most golf shoes leak after a while.

Never been an issue. They use gore tex - or their own equivalent version of it. Prior to these Keen's I have used Salomon and La Sportiva low cut shoes, both of which were excellent in the wet.

Footjoy are heavily overpriced in Australia, if you look at the pricing in the UK its more realistic. With FJ I found their tour shoes are good but all the casual range are no better than other brands (just $100 more in price)
I always wait until Golfbox drops their pants on select Ecco shoes. I agree with the above comments along with Asics shoes, (although for some reason I started to blister in them)

As someone who cant wear any ecco's, or current footjoys, I'll be repping New Balance again.
Picked up a couple of pairs of Fresh Foam spikeless, far and away the best shoes I have ever owned.

Benno, played golf with a New Balance rep (pre virus) he had the NB Tours, great looking shoe, did you have a look at those or did you specifically want spikeless?

Yeah, looked at them as well. Basically the same shoe. I'll pickup some of those when my current Spiked NB crap out.
Went spikeless anticipating the 100000 rounds played at vic champs this year, with the extra sole compliance they have.

Just getting them through the Maryborough pro shop. For the first time ever, a 2E shoe fits me, so I don't need to source OS. Pretty sure golf world will have the full range too.

There are also plenty listed on eBay, including 2020 models.

Having tried (Callaway, Nike, Footjoy and Niblick) over the last few years New Balance have been the only ones that don't result in very painful feet after the round for me.

NB are tight arses on the golf shoes; they rarely discount them. I got a set once from a sale but its rare I see the tour model available for discount
They must know they are good hence the reason

Still loving my selection of various UA models. The spikeless variants are the most comfortable shoes I've worn on the course.
I've also got a pair of Adidas CodeChaos which seemed super comfy the one time I wore them, but will need more use to be definitive.

I have a pair of Footjoys that aren't new, but are in exceptional condition.
The rubber on the sole has started to perish and crumble. Anyone experienced this before?

Not perish but the multi part sole fell apart on Contours. Saw someone else wearing same shoe, same thing happened to his.

Same sort of thing a bit like a delaminating ? But have seen it with peoples stashes of work boots , some rubber or rubber substitutes don’t last real well I think
Still wearing my contours though hasn’t affected performance but they are a spiked version

Probably because of this;
https://www.safetyjogger.com/en/acad...oles-explained
I have had the soles on a number of different (non golf) shoes crumble over time. I have been told it is a natural process if you don't wear them regularly.
